Wir haben die 3 Tage und 2 Nächte Tour zum Rinjani gemacht und können sie nur weiterempfehlen! Von Anfang bis Ende hat es uns an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns nie unwohl oder nicht sicher gefühlt. Das lag vor allem an unserem tollen Guide Woody, der immer sehr aufmerksam war und sich gut um uns gekümmert hat. Dank Woodys gesprächiger und sympathischer Art, haben wir trotz des teilweise anstrengenden Auf- und Abstiegs nie unser Lächeln verloren. Da unsere eigenen Schuhe nicht die besten waren und wir öfter mal ins Rutschen kamen, hat er versucht die besten Wege für uns zu finden und sich bei jedem „Fehltritt“ nach uns umgeschaut (und sogar angeboten seine Wanderschuhe an uns abzugeben). Ein großer Dank geht auch an die Porter, welche uns stets mit frischem und leckerem Essen versorgt haben und mit der gesamten Ausrüstung vorausgeeilt sind, um die besten Zeltplätze für uns zu sichern.
Die unkomplizierte Organisation, super Unterstützung sowie die tollen Gespräche und atemberaubende Landschaft machten unsere Tour zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis!

We - my partner and I - did a 2D/1N trek to the Rinjani Summit.
We loved how everything was arranged. Their driver picked is op in Kuta (Lombok South) to bring us all the way to Senaru. Our stay at the residency was short but comfortable (running warm water, queen’s size bed, WiFi…). On the mountain everything went smooth as well: The guide and two porters did everything to make our trekking as comfortable as possible! Always around, always taking care of us (sleeping tent already up when we reached the crater, toilet tent present, wonderful food - certainly giving the conditions - prepared, etc). The crew was friendly, enthusiastic and responsible. We truely had the feeling that Rudy trekker cared for our experience and the mountain, which meant everything to us. 100% would recommend.

Nous avons eu la chance de vivre l'expérience Rinjani pendant 3 jours (2 nuits). Sacré challenge... mais qui vaut le coup ! Agus notre super guide, et Rafan et Wayou nos 2 supers porteurs ont tout fait pour nous accompagner à aller jusqu'au bout. L'équipe s'est adaptée à notre rythme, les porteurs nous on installé des camps confortables et cuisinés des supers repas. Merci, incroyable expérience !

We took a 4 day,3 night tour.It was very good advice from Rudy for us.This tour is challenging but incredibly rewarding. All equipment, safety, food and fun was provided by a very professional team.We will never forget this experience and totally recommend this company.Wear appropriate shoes,prepare your fitness,do not take excessive belongings. It is something you will remember all your life .Thank you sincerely to the whole team .Especially Bruno and Davet who told me I could do it,but it was only possible with their kind help and patience.You won't regret taking Rudy Trekker experience.

To climb solo with a team and stay over night you need to be confident that the team will not only provide what is in the brochure, tents food etc. etc. but that they will "look after" you.
We hiked to the crater rim on the first day and stayed over night. The food was good, not ridiculously complicated or luxurious, and the highlight was sitting around the firelight whilst the stars came out.
I was on a three-day schedule but had chosen to do the final two days in one. We hiked down into the crater and although it was only 3 K it took 2 hours, there is no track, there is a way down and some steps in places but it is not quick. In retrospect I should have opted to compete the drop into the crater and return in one day rather than half.
By 2 30 pm we were ready to return down the 6,600 feet to the village having traversed 4,000 feet down to the crater bottom and back to the base.
At some point on the return I tore my MSL and Mohammed administered heat spray and we finally arrived back at the end point at 10 pm. What really impressed me is my two lovely bearers stayed with Mohammed and I until the end in case I struggled to get off the trail. That was most impressive.
It was a wonderful experience and the weather was good to us but it is hard work and if Rudy says it’s going to take three days its best to listen to him.
I was conscious that because of a change to my routine I was not match fit for climbing in the way I had been in 2019
Next year we will do something different and take more time but my thanks to all for looking after me.

My now husband and I went with Rudy Trekker for the three day hike with early morning summit. They were such beautiful people, who took such care with the environment, and it was an incredible experience. My husband proposed at the top and the crew were so lovely - they practically ran down the mountain and up the other side to get us the best spot for our final night and cooked us a really special dinner. Honestly, such a great bunch of people, doing an amazing job looking after everyone and Mt Rinjani itself - so much respect. We will never forget it.

I’ve done Rinjani twice with Rudi Trekker, once 3 day 2 night from Senaru, the other time 2/1 from Sembulum side. Both times were perfect. They lent me shoes and jumpers (but bring your own if possible), torches, etc., and the food and camping was great. I saw trekkers with other companies with no flashlights, bad footwear, no food, missing guides and porters, etc. that Rudi’s company just wouldn’t let happen. Rudi’s guides and porters did very thing to make sure you enjoyed your climb and we’re as comfortable as possible.
And they actively reduce waste on the mountain, (the one disappointing part of the trip) which I hear has improved the situation for everyone since I was there 3 years ago.
Thinking of a 3rd climb for my 58th b’day.
BTW, it’s hard a hard trek but soo worth it!!

Een absolute aanrader. Een dag van te voren werden we opgehaald vanaf bestemming, waarna we een overnachting hadden bij de basis van Rudy Trekker: inclusief zwembad. Tijdens de tocht ontbrak het aan niets: goede begeleiding, de juiste spullen, enthousiaste gids (Agos!) en porters en vooral fantastisch eten. Het was een onvergetelijke ervaring. Doen!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the over-night hike up Mt Rinjani with Rudy Trekkers. Antok was very well organised and very friendly. Our transport, accommodation in Senaru, guiding up Rinjani and overnight camp on the crater rim were professionally organised and happened like magic. Our guide and our driver were knowledgeable, friendly and affable.
The accommodation, swimming pool and wifi were excellent in Senaru. The meals on the hike were amazing, especially considering the conditions for preparing them. We were even given a suite to clean up in after the hike.
When my partner was delayed by a cancelled flight they made two trips across Lombok to pick us up individually so that I would not have to spend the day waiting at Lombok airport!
Rudy Trekkers would have to be one of the best Rinjani guides, if not the best.
PS You should be prepared to tip the guides and porters if you are happy with them. Suggested tips are $25 US for guide and $15 US for porters.

So glad I went with Rudy Trekker for my hike. I had a great time hiking up to Mount Rinjani's crater rim with one of Rudy Trekker's guide, Agus who keeps making sure we're okay, cracked jokes with me and doesn't mind my taking numerous breaks for photos etc. :D
From airport pick up, overnight stay at the guest house, food prepared during the hike by the wonderful porters, tent set up, cleaning up afterwards at camp site, post hike shower and transportation to the Gilis, it was seamless and perfect for me.
Thank you Agus, Antok and Rudy for making this trip a memorable one. See you again!
