Memory for life - experience, professionalism, friendliness and joy!

Just finishing up a - once in a life time - experience, travelling in Tanzania. We started of with a three days safari in the Ngorongoro conservation park, including a days climb up Mt Makarot. We continued to Kilimanjaro ascending up to Uhuru peak (5895m) via the Lemosho 8 day route followed by 4 days at Zanzibar. All in all we spent 18 days in Tanzania arranged and planned by Easy Travel.
All arrangements from airport transfers, Arusha Planet Lodge, safari @Tortilis camp and our amazing guide Adrian to the Kilimanjaro experience and beach has been incredible.

After a day of rest we met our safari guide - Adrian, who took us the 3h drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation park. Adrian was a very competent driver as well as safariguide. The car was clean, comfortable, and spacious. All the check points approching the crater was very smooth - we met other companies and drivers who experienced problems but we didn’t have any issues. Adrian spotted all the of the big five (except cheeta) for us and was very accomodating for whatever we wanted. @tortilis camp the staff brought us plenty of healthy and tasty food, the glamping tents had everything you could wish for and more, including a hot water bottle placed in your bed bf bedtime. The staff was very attentive, helpful and fun.

The Kilimanjaro team led by Musa and Charlie immediately became family and we trusted them completely. We were treated like Queens from day 1, with whatever need we had. During the hike the pace was set to suit our needs. Every day when we got back from the hike, camp was set up in the best spot with our duffle bags already in our tents. Our boots was then cleaned and we got hot water to clean ourselves followed by lots and lots of energy filled and tasty food. The portable toilet we had chosen to pay extra for had been set up and was always kept clean with toilet paper, soap and most of the days hot water to wash hands. The tents were the best we saw at camp and always cleaned before we arrived.
In the evening we got briefed by Musa and Charlie about next day incl. Instructions on how to dress, drink and eat. They also checked our all over wellbeing incl. pulse and the saturation of oxygen. Musa and Charlie also coached us mentally and we had a lot of laughs with them, which took away a lot of stress for the peak ascent.
The team of porters and guides went above and beyond my expectation every day but escpecially on the long peak ascent. During the 6h hike in the dark cold, they made jokes, sang and danced for hours. They kept track so that we drank and ate enough and always ensured we had a smile on our face (If you smile at Kilimanjaro she will smile back at you). All this we later understood was key factors for us having a successful summit. All 4 of us (female age 49-57) reached the peak happy, healthy and strong with energy left to be able to make the descent in the same day (another 3,5+3h).
Without the competence, attentiveness, organization, experience, and warm hearts of Musa, Charlie and rest of their crew we might not have made it. They will all always be in my heart.
I also would like to highlight the skill and competence of Helen at Easy Travel making the entire 18 days of our Tanzanian trip smooth easy and joyful.

Next Level Hiking!

Have you been hiking Kebnekaise , Trolltunga and Galdhöpiggen already and look forward for new adventurers? Four of us have reached top of Kilimanjaro an eight day Lemosho route to the Uhuru peak and it has been an unforgettable hike. Thanks to Easy travel and their long experience and the warmest thanks to our inspiring and guides Musa, Charlie and the fantastic happy and always singing team of porters who with all their professionalism of helping us acclimatize to high altitude but at the same sharing their love of nature. Fantastic arrangement, tasty nutrition food, great tents, coaching us in a dignified in order for us to get the best experience each day. Easy travel is of course members of KPAP (Kilimanjaro porters association project) In other words all was far beyond expectations and will never leave my heart.

What can I say and where do I begin? It was certainly destiny and fate that determined that our ‘once in a lifetime’ experience of celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and my 60th birthday should be entrusted to a very loving and caring family business, such as Easy Travels. My wife and myself have had the fortune of having traveled widely around the world. Without any shadow of doubt whatsoever, we feel very blessed that we have come across a company like Easy Travel. After carrying out my usual basic research about our chosen destination of Tanzania and its world famous wildlife safaris, and based largely on TripAdvisor reviews from fellow travellers we chose to go with Easy travels. They were certainly not the cheapest but as it turns out, they are indeed THE BEST. Thanks to my fellow travellers and to TripAdvisor for introducing me to Easy Travels.

Our first point of contact was with one of the best communicators and one of the most efficient, bespoke tour organisers in a wonderful lady called ‘Voice’. I gave her our requirements, our budget, our dietary preferences and our expectations. She responded most promptly and efficiently with a tailor made tour with the exact costs involved. At this stage, I have to state that her quote was not the cheapest quote as compared to three other companies that I had shortlisted. However, some unknown, divine metaphysical forces, directed me to go with my instinct and choose Easy Travels. It certainly was THE BEST decision.

The costs involved were very transparent with no ‘hidden costs’. The payment terms and conditions were very straightforward. I paid a deposit with my Amex. We chose our guide called Simon based on the experiences of previous travellers.

Our dream started becoming true once we had the great pleasure of meeting Voice, Simon, Shivani and the ‘big boss’, the owner - the ever so kind and caring and humble Mr Musaddiq Gulamhussein. It genuinely felt as if we were welcomed into a ‘family’. The attention to detail, the briefing of our impending tour, the chance to ask any doubts/queries, our first of many celebrations of our anniversary and birthday in the office itself and the various little thinthat are too long to even mention! Suffice to say, that we paid the balance in a smooth and seamless transaction and set off to chase our dream in the wilderness of the Tanzanian game reserves.

I have woken up at 4am, while halfway through our holiday, and spent an hour to write this review becauseI want to spread the message that this is a very genuine familyrun busines that cares for its clients in the best possible manner. I want my fellow travellers to benefit. I am NOT related by blood to Mr.Musaddiq or to anyone in the company (but certainly belong to the easy travel family of passionate staff!. Please have no hesitation in trusting this team for your dream Tanzanian holiday. I will write again to update our superlative experience. Feeling so blessed

I can also confirm that you are not related to me (!) but you are indeed welcomed into the Easy Travel family. It was my pleasure to meet you here. We want all of our guests to feel like they are family members. We are a family company in every sense of the word, we are Tanzanians and we DO really care about our visitors. We do not strive to be the cheapest, we strive to be the best. If another company is cheaper, then there will be a reason, maybe cutting corners on safety or underpaying their staff. Tanzania continental safari con Claus

Hemos estado 6 días por Tanzania continental con nuestro guía Claus, que trabaja en Easy travel. La experiencia ha sido genial. Claus es un guía estupendo que explica todo con cariño y detalle. Además tuve un pequeño problema de salud y me ayudaron con todos los trámites y cambios de planes que tuve que hacer.

The Best Safari Experience in Tanzania

Although I was not responsible for setting up our trip, I am extremely thankful that our planner chose Easy Travel.

We met our guide, Maila Kanani for a briefing at the Easy Travel offices the day prior to safari departure. From the welcome we received at the office, all throughout the trip, and by our own choice to remain in contact afterward, we knew we won the lottery with Maila as our guide.

We had no regrets, nor disappointments during the whole time in Tanzania. The only thing that caught us a little unprepared was needing smaller denominations of currency for tipping at the wash rooms, and various stops during our excursion. I'd recommend having both larger amounts for the camps & shopping, if you choose, and smaller amounts for tipping at washrooms or roadside stops.

For sure, our trip was way better because of Maila's knowledge and professionalism. During our trip we saw other companies with guides who were not engaged, either on their phones or catching up with other guides, while Maila became our friend and never left us to fend for ourselves.

Highly recommend Maila and Easy Travel

Every we had hoped for and more!

We did a 4 night 5 day safari that included the central and northern Serengeti as well as the Ngorongoro crater. Voice at easy travel was amazing to work with and communication with her before during and after the Safari was excellent. Our guide Maila was an incredible guide with unlimited knowledge, which made the safari a truly once in a lifetime adventure.
