Di compagnie che organizzano safàri in Tanzania ce ne sono davvero tante ma mai scelta è stata più azzeccata. Reattivi nella comunicazione, disponibili alle varie richieste, ben organizzati e puntuali.
Le mete sono state il parco del Tarangire, il lago Manyara, il Serengeti ed il cratere del Ngorongoro. La fortuna è stata dalla nostra parte e siamo riusciti a vedere tutti e 5 i big five, più la spettacolare migrazione degli gnu.
La nostra guida Albert è stata super, non si poteva chiedere di meglio: una vista da falco che ci ha permesso di vedere un sacco di animali, ma sempre comunque attendo alla guida e presente senza essere mai invadente.
Durante i nostri 7 giorni di safari abbiamo soggiornato sia in lodge che in campi tendati, tutti di ottima qualità.
Assolutamente consigliato!

J’ai beaucoup aimé les communications avec Hoopoe, Esther a été très gentille et a su répondre à chacune de nos questions. Malheureusement quand il a été question de notre réclamation sur le guide qui ne parlait pas un mot de français plus de réponse d’Esther. J’avais spécifiquement demandé un guide français et cela m’avait été confirmé … le jour même le guide se présente et annonce qu’il ne parle pas du tout français! Le guide était gentil et nous avons vu les big five mais pour le prix payé ce n’est pas admissible. La voiture n’a pas eu de problème mais est peu entretenue. Si je refais un safari je prendrai une autre agence.

Further to our e.mail communication with you on 9 th. July 2023 from our senior sales consultant Dionis we greatly apologise for any shortcomings on your safari.
We are pleased to let you know that our promised French speaking guide has overcome his family emergency and back on duty.
As time was very short, we could not provide you with an alternative French speaking guide although we tried our best to do so. This was not communicated well at the time which was very frustrating to us all.
We would very much like to compensate you in a suitable way and hope to see you on safari again. we will contact you by email soon.

My wife and I spent 12 days honeymoon in Tanzania, exploring the northen part of the country. We have been in Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Manyara lake, Eyasi lake and Natron lake. More then a journey, our trip was an unbelieveble adventure thanks to Hoopoe Safaris.
I usually prefer to plan every details during the journey. Hoopoes Safaris are very kind and helpful in accomodation our program and comply with our requests. First of all we have to thanks Beatrice for her kindness and availability; it was truly a pleasure writing and organizing our trip together.
But the real pearl of our trip was Lesikar, our guide or should I say our our travel companion, our friend.

Husband and I did a 10 day private tour in Tanzania. The trip and accommodations were top notch. We’re were always greatly surprise by the quality of food, camps, and crews. Our guide was amazing and could spot a tiny dik dik or hidden cheetah with amazing skill. The only reason our trip wasn’t 5 stars was there were some issues with the land rover that required spending a few hours at the mechanic in the Serengeti. Our understanding was that the regular car was unavailable and this car was a loaner but it still should have been checked out before the trip.

Per il nostro primo Safari abbiamo deciso di affidarci a questa agenzia che lavora dal 1988 e che è consigliata dalla Lonely Planet.
Da subito ci siamo messi in contatto con Beatrice: veloce nel rispondere, chiara, disponibile e gentilissima.
Scelto il tipo di tour abbiamo pagato tutto dall'Italia in totale sicurezza.
Una volta giunti in Tanzania la nostra guida Zacayo è venuta a prenderci all'ostello dove alloggiavamo e all'orario prestabilito.
Zacayo è stato per noi la guida perfetta: sicuro e attendo alla guida, gentile e professionale.
Durante tutto il Safari ci ha spiegato moltissime cose su animali e piante e abbiamo adorato la sua filosofia di vita e di lavoro: il suo rispetto per la natura e gli animali ci ha colpito! Davvero un punto in più che ci ha fatto vivere ancora meglio l'esperienza.
I lodge e i campi tendati in cui siamo stati erano tutti come ce li aspettavamo se non meglio (Kirumuru e Pakulala veramente incantevoli, immersi nella natura). Cibo ottimo.
Nessun problema, ci siamo affidati totalmente ed è stato tutto Hakuna Matata!!!

Nuestro encuentro con Hoopoe fue totalmente casual. El primer contacto con la empresa fue a través de Fernanda, que con su amabilidad, profesionalidad y a través de correos y llamadas por whatsapp fuimos moldeando un itinerario por el cual visitamos los Parques Nacionales de Tarangire, Serengeti y Manyara así como el Crater de Ngorongoro y Lago Eyasi, esta ultima para visitar a un par de Tribus.
Nuestro primer contacto, físicamente, con Tanzania fue en Zanzíbar, esta parte la organizamos nosotros sin Hoopoe y después de pasar unos días en la isla cuando ya nos íbamos a trasladar a Arusha para empezar nuestro safari surgió un pequeño problema, retraso de unas cinco horas del avión que nos trasladaba al continente y nos dejaba en el aeropuerto de Kilimanjaro, no en Arusha, donde era el encuentro marcado con Hoopoe.
Fernanda intervino, sin tener la obligación de hacerlo, hablando con el taxista que nos iba a recoger en Zanzíbar para llevarnos al aeropuerto para ajustarse al nuevo horario y también para que nuestros guías del safari nos recogieran en el aeropuerto de Kilimanjaro.
Aquí, en el aeropuerto de Kilimanjaro, empezó nuestro contacto con una parte fundamental para un safari, los guías. Tuvimos dos: Suley y Clemente.
Con el tiempo vimos que este tandem era muy bueno, se complementaban. Mientras que el primero era nuestro traductor, nuestro nivel de ingles no es para asimilar todas las explicaciones que nos puedan dar, el segundo es un excelente y prudente conductor y ambos tienen un conocimiento de la fauna y flora de la zona considerable. Un gran equipo.
No me extiendo más, ya lo he hecho mas que suficientemente, solo decir como conclusión, que por nuestra corta experiencia, Hoopoe, a través de las personas nombradas en este texto, han demostrado su profesionalidad y cercanía para llevar a cabo un fantástico e inolvidable safari.

How do we start describing the awsome experience offered by the Hoopoe Safari team? It started with the delightful emails from Beatrice who is extremely responsive, not only to produce a quotation, but also to answer concerns and questions, to adapt the itinerary to our smallest requests and to make us comfortable with the upcoming safari.
Then our great guide and driver Lesikar welcomed us at Arusha airport and took care of us through a 7-day safari in Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Always attentive and adaptable to our requirements, knowledgeable and interesting, and a great and careful driver.
Overall, an outstanding sense of service in a friendly and professional way.
Then our great guide and driver Lesikar welcomed us at Arusha airport and took care of us through a 7-day safari in Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Always attentive and adaptable to our requirements, knowledgeable and interesting, and a great and careful driver.

Our safari outfitter hired Hoopoe Safari to lead our family on our 7 day Machame route climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro. From our very first pre trip meeting at our Arusha hotel to our final goodbyes, we were overwhelmed with the professionalism and support of our team. Our family of 5 with kids ages 20, 17, and 13 felt so at ease and confident about a successful summit after meeting Charles our lead guide. Charles had summited over 300 times prior to our family! Our bush and beach safari was arranged by Beatrice who put together a great itinerary and then planned all of the logistics, taking into account all of the extras bits we requested. Beatrice was efficient, polite and faultless which removed any anxiety we may have had. She even met us in Arusha to welcome us and go through the plan one last time, which was a nice touch.
Our guide was Albert and he was excellent throughout our safari. Albert was a very knowledgeable guide who also seemed to have a genuine interest in, and respect for, the wildlife. Albert had extensive knowledge of both birds and animals, shared lots of information and answered any questions we had along the way. We always felt safe when he was driving us from place to place and the safari vehicle was more than up to the task.
Hoopoe Safaris did us proud and we were left with some fantastic memories of our time in Tanzania.

Hoopoe Safaris provided outstanding service while we were in the East African Wilderness. Jackson, our guide for our safari in the Serengeti, Olduvai Gorge and Ngorongoro, was outstanding! He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The amount of wildlife we saw was amazing. Jackson knew exactly where to go. He was friendly and relaxed the entire time. Thank you Jackson, we had an awesome time!

My family is booked for a week long Hoopoe Tanzania safari in January 2018. Any packing recommendations would be greatly appreciated. What should we bring? What should we leave home? Thanks!

We followed the packing list they provided, and it was right on - neither too much, nor too little. So I would follow their advice!
