We, a family of 3 adults and 2 kids, went to climb the waterfalls of Kao Chamao National Park yesterday. Swimming in the waterfalls with carps was something you don't experience everyday, either. Our guide, Tanya, gave us interesting tidbits about the area, and she was very helpful with the kids.
Being a vegetarian, Thailand has always proven to be a challenge, to put it mildly. I don't what know magic tricks Tanya pulled, but the Thai lunch after the waterfalls was one of the best - an importantly, most nutritional - meals I have ever had in Thailand. Yummy!
To conclude the tour we visited a nunnary with rescue dogs and wild monkeys. These monkeys were not the self-taught thiefs you see in many tourist attractions. They were sligthly curious and cautious and not at all aggressive. Some of the dogs - quite understandably - craved for human affection. Poor things... I bow to the the nuns for their big heart.
All and all, this was one of the highlights on our trip to Thailand so far. We all enjoyed it greatly. We have been on all kinds of tours in Thailand before, the budget ones and the expensive ones. I can honestly say this tour combined the best of both worlds. Highly recommended. 5/5.

Trip was well planned and guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Native English speakers. Asked about any dietary restrictions for lunch. Lunch was simple but good. Drinks were included and plentiful. Boat leaves from local fishing pier. I was staying at a hotel a little further from their office so hotel pickup was not offered but there was no discount in the price. Larger boat, not a speed boat, so trip over water takes a little longer but there were areas to sunbathe and lots of shaded area, if that is what you prefer. Two toilets onboard. Because the boat was bigger and slower, things were easily kept dry. Bring towel, sunscreen.

Undiscovered Thailand took us on two day trips, both were unforgettable. On the Waterfall trip you are able to swim in fresh water pools in among thousands of fresh water carp. The trail up the mountain is not for the fainthearted or those who are not fit, but for those who are able to make it the rewards are well worth the effort. Our second trip was to the turtle sanctuary and snorkeling at secluded island a few miles of the coast. The turtle sanctuary was very interesting followed by the opportunity to snorkel through a cave and a small inlet which was full of fish. Our tour guides Jack & Simon were very helpful and professional , always on hand with cold water when needed. After a long day we then joined them for sunset cocktails at The Drift Bar, the best Long Island Ice Tea you will ever taste, prepared by Lauren, the rest is a bit of a haze.......

Excellent day out, nice hike up to the waterfall (not too taxing), water was crystal clear and really refreshing, the waterfall has 7 layers so it's like visiting 7 mini waterfalls. We stopped for lunch after the waterfall which was included and nice traditional local Thai food. After lunch we drove up to a temple next to a cave where we fed some wild monkeys (friendly ones!). Great day out overall, lots of nature, wildlife and fun.

Bokade in oss på en tur med "Undiscovered Thailand" som har sitt kontor vid Villa Bali Resort Mae Phim. Blev upphämtade och körda till piren där båten utgick från...styrde kosan mot Koh Mannai "Turtels Island" tog ca 20 min dit. Fick en guidad tur av Jack en av guiderna som prata bra engelska och väl påläst om sköldpaddorna. Även hans kollega en engelsk kille var duktig. Efter det styrde båten till Koh Talu tog ca 40 minuter. Väl där badade/snorklade vi några timmar. Jättefint. Det serverades lunch/frukt/kaffe/kaka och dryck som ingick i priset . Otroligt bra service. Rekommenderar varmt åka denna tur

We wanted to stay at Villa Bali Resort just for the week-eend and then travel further to Koh Chang. Then we decided to do the excursion to the Turtle Island and two more islands, because some people recommendend it here at Trip Advisor....and it was even more than we expected.
Jack and Tanya (or Tonya?) don't just do their job...they LOVE it and every guest feels it. And so we changed our plans, skipped Ko Chang and stayed for more than a week.
Of course, we tried some other excursions like the Koh Thalu Boat Trip and the Waterfall and Cave Adventure. All of them were wonderful and unforgettable. Great nature and a great team make you feel not only as a guest but more than a friend. Last not least the Villa Bali Resort is a wonderful place to stay because of the cosy bungalows built inmidst a huge garden with exotic plants and birds. The garden is built up with so much love as also the restaurant with its absolutely friendly staff. Thanks a lot to all of you at Villa Bali and Undiscovered Thailand...we will come back!

We took the Turtle Island Boat Trip with Undiscovered Thailand and we had a great time. Firstly, the staff was as welcoming as can be. The boat was well equipped with plenty of room for everybody on board. Cold refreshing drinks with enough variety for our family of four were available throughout the day. And just that little bit of extra to make a big difference: watermelon, pineapple and chocolate chip cookies each appeared with perfect timing, all ready to be devoured.
First stop on our trip was at the Turtle Sanctuary, which we really enjoyed. Our guides Tanya and Jack were obviously enthusiastic about their subject and we heard a whole lot of interesting facts about turtles. Our 8-year-old even decided to make a little presentation at school, so on the way to our next stop, we were writing down a lot of info and asking for more details from Tanya.
Next stop was snorkeling, which was also really nice. There was no rush as we stayed put for a good few hours. We couldn’t convince our younger daughter to get into the water at all, but it was not a problem as there was plenty of time for us parents to enjoy the underwater world taking turns.
The lunch was served at the snorkeling site. It was good and there was plenty of it. The children got to feed the extra rice to the fish which was a really nice experience for them, because they were able to see a lot of colorful fish also from the deck. With everything they did it was clear that the crew took well into consideration especially the children, big and small, but in general all the customers, and also the environment. What a great way to set an example: jumping into the water and retrieve some trash floating by.
Our trip also had an extra bonus as there was a possibility to try flyboarding. A few people tried it and I think everyone onboard was excited to watch. It was certainly entertainment for the whole family watching daddy have a go at it. His stumbling was hilarious, but soon he got the hang of it. No comparison to the instructor John though - his “Superman” diving stunts were the best!
All in all, a great day and a perfect finish for our holiday! We warmly recommend it!

A friend with a villa in Tantarin, just outside of Laem Mae Phim recommended the Turtle Island and Snorkeling tour run by the family owned team at Undiscovered Thailand via Villa Bali. I was traveling with 16 family members from 7 to 72 and they accommodated all of us with a warm Thai welcome. Our guides, the brother and sister team of Tanya and Jack, made us feel like part of the family. The trip lasted all day starting with pick up from our villa at 9 am. Our first stop was the turtle sanctuary, another good work by the King and Queen, where we learned about the life cycle of the turtles and were able to see tiny turtles and huge old prehistoric looking turtle beasts. Both Jack and Tanya were a wealth of information about the tour, the Thai people, culture, and history. After a leisurely time on the island we headed back to the boat to our snorkeling spot. A short ride later we arrived at a lovely little island with a swim through cave. Jack guided the group and allowed the more adventurous to swim on their own. He provided helpful tips and friendly banter along the way. Back on the boat we had a simple but delicious meal we made our way to the next stop. We anchored about 150 meters off shore and swam in to a pristine little beach. At the top of the island, the trees were full of fruit bats. It was a lovely day. In addition to Jack and Tanya the boat crew were professional and helpful. I highly recommend this crew.

We will visit Rayong from 30.12.2018 to 7.1.2019. we are interested to hear about day trips to see turtles, water falls or other outside activities like snorkeling. We are a family of 5 persons. No small children.
