We had such an incredible day here! Kun was amazing and so funny! We enjoyed the cycle through Hoi An and out through the rice paddies! The food that we cooked was so delicious! Thank you Kun!

Nice way to exprience local farming

Very good experience. We had a great guide xuan, very knolagable fun and explained in details the differnt herbs and their uses.
It was great joining the tour and experincing the farming of vietnam. Highly recomndaded when visity Hoi An. Judith and Oren

Tra Que Water wheel Hoi An experience

What an incredible experience! My husband and I participated in the full Hoi An experience.

Started with getting picked up at our hotel with a couple of bikes and two tour guides. We biked to the market where we were shown local spices, tasted sweet treats, and sampled fruits. It was so informative to see what foods they cook with and how to navigate the market.

After we bought the necessary ingredients we took a easy bike ride (20 minutes or so) to the country where we took a ride on a traditional circular river boat, hung out and rode a water buffalo, visited the farm where we learned about growing techniques, tasted herbs, and prepared for lunch!

Next eat the best part, the actual cooking! We made the traditional dishes using traditional methods and the food was incredible! In addition to the food we made three more dishes were brought to the table for us to enjoy. We left with full bellies and recipes so we can recreate the dishes at home.

But it was really the people of Tra Que Water wheel that made the day. They were engaging, packed full of information, and make the day so much fun with songs and jokes. They took loss of pics and videos for us that they sent after the tour. It was just great, one of the highlights of the trip, can't recommend it enough!

Einer der besten Erfahrungen in Vietnam

Der Kochkurs war super! Wir konnten uns für ein vegetarisches Menü entscheiden. Unsere Köchin, Kun, hat uns auf einen typischen Markt in der Stadt mitgenommen und uns viel gezeigt und erklärt, worüber wir uns sehr gefreut haben. Auch in dem anliegenden Kräutergarten des Dorfes konnte Sie uns viel zeigen.
Das kochen war sehr schön und es hat sich mehr angefühlt mit einer Freundin gemeinsam zu kochen als einen Kurs zu machen. Wir haben uns jederzeit willkommen und wohl gefühlt!!

Great setting— great food—brilliant service

We have visited the restaurant as part of our tour, so it was selected by the tour company. We are thankful that they did. The restaurant is located in the gear of a eco friendly herb village. The setting is nice, the food is prepared with care and a service was brilliant. I don’t think we met a nicer server than Tiên ( the fairy) and that is much to say for we had met with some fantastic servers throughout our trip in Vietnam.

Lovely day out.

We had a lovely day with Jessica and her family. They organised for us a cooking class and short farm tour. The morning market was fun and educational. We made some lovely dishes. We especially liked the format of cooking and eating each dish immediately so it was super fresh. At the end of the day it was very hot (+38) so they kindly drove us back to the hotel rather than riding back in the hot sun. Highly recommended tour.

The best experience in Vietnam!

This is hands down the best thing we did in Vietnam. From collecting us from our hotel, riding bikes to the market and learning all about the produce, to actually going to the Vegetable Village and doing the cooking class, every moment was magical.

Sun was a delight. She is extremely knowledgeable and more than happy to share it with you. She’s also an amazing cook and her direction and guidance help you achieve a delicious feast. We were even given a copy of the recipes we made so we can make everything at home.

From the moment we began, we felt like we were part of the family. We would definitely do this again! If you’re coming to Hoi An, a cooking class at Tra Que Water Wheel is an absolute must!
