I visited on September 8, 2024, at 13:00.
I checked the admission fee with the grandfather who accepted, but I felt very bad because of the poor response
I don't think I did anything wrong.

I drove around the Kushiro marshland all day 😀
They say it's the largest wetland in Japan, so it's a rush to get around in a day ~🏃
It’s such a big marsh, there are so many ways to look at it and enjoy it ~🏞️
If you want to see the marshland from various viewpoints~👀
If you want to walk through the marshes, I'd recommend the Onne Uchikido ~🚶
I also enjoy canoeing along the Kushiro River through the wetlands 🛶
And a train trip on the Kushiro Main Line, which runs through the Kushiro Wetland, is nice ~ 🛤️
Because the Kushiro Shitsugen Norokko running through the marsh is very popular 🚞
Apparently, even before it became a national park, there were railroad tracks in the marshes, so you could pass through the marshes, and now there are no tracks or roads 🛤️
There will be many ways to enjoy these and the morning and evening scenery will be beautiful 🌄
What surprised me was the presence of the Japanese crane at this time 🦢
You have an image of a bird in winter ~ 🦢
But you know, there are cranes who live here all year round 🦢
There were also 🦌 Sheika and 🦊 Konta~

I know you're working towards legislation, but you need to be aware that we're in the swamp.
I fully enjoyed the best marshland in Japan☺️

18時25分。日も暮れかけている中、釧路湿原駅に到着しました。辺りが暗くなりながらも細岡展望台を目指しました。
目の前に広がる釧路湿原。写真の通り何10kmも先まで見渡すことができました。日は落ちてしまいましたがこの展望台から見る夕景がとても最高でした。列車の本数が少なく過酷なスケジュールでしたが、ここに来て良かったと思えるほど素敵な景色を見ることができました。
列車は1日5〜6本なので鉄道で行かれる方は出発時刻にお気をつけ下さい。

釧路市北斗の釧路湿原展望台からの眺めは北海道らしい雄大なものでした。但し、水辺は目に入らず湿原と云ってもその雰囲気は味わえませんでした。

２月下旬に釧路市湿原展望台の屋上から釧路湿原を眺めました。あたり一帯が雪で覆われて非現実的な景色でした。残念ながらタンチョウヅルは見られませんでした。

釧路湿原の丹頂鶴が休む平坦な場所に
木が生えてきているそうです。
丹頂鶴が飛来した時にぶつかって怪我をしてしまうから本当は切りたいけれど、
自然に生えてきているものに対して
自然を壊すのはダメという考え方もあり、
切るのも難しい状態と初めて知りました。
鶴のためだけの釧路湿原ではないという考えと、鶴の場所がなくなってしまうという考えと…どちらにしても困ってしまう。
湿原を一周して歩くのに右回りで行くとかなり凄い道を歩いていく。でも最後は平坦の道で歩きやすい。
左からサテライト展望台に行き、元来た道を戻れば車椅子でも行ける。

日本最大の湿原をノロッコ号の車窓から、そして細岡展望台から堪能しました。
車窓からは湿原に佇む丹頂、そして池で沐浴しているエゾシカを見ることができました。展望台からの景色は雄大で息を呑みました。
面積が28000ヘクタール。山手線の内側の面積が6300ヘクタール、また日本一の高層湿原の尾瀬が8900ヘクタールだそうですからそのスケールの大きさがわかります。
今回は晩夏の訪問でしたが他の季節にも訪れてみたいです。

と道東エリア最大の観光地でう。あまりに大きな日本最大の釧路湿原。この釧路湿原の「全体像をつかむのが本当に大変で当然湿原内へのアクセスも限られてる為観光の仕方によって楽しめたり多々何となく眺めて終わったりと色々だと思います。
一番お勧めはやはりＪＲ釧網本線からの車窓旅でしょう。のんびりゆっくり釧路川沿いを走りますし・・・
でも訪問時は冬で雪原でしたが・・・・

バスから降りて、北斗展望台から｢釧路湿原｣を眺めた。あまりにも広く、全貌が掴めない。その面積は約2万8000ヘクタール。そう言われても、ピンと来ない。東京ドーム何個分ではなく、東京都23区がすっぽりと入るくらいの大きさらしい。でも、寒くて、寒くて、その大きさもその広さもその素晴らしさも分かんなかったなあー！

Is the Norokko train in operation now? we are visiting on 26-27 May. If yes, what time does it open and what is the fare? How long is the ride?

How do I purchase tickets for the Kushiro Shitsugen Norokko Train Ride? Can I purchase them online...we live in the United States.
We are coming by cruise ship in August and would like to ride the train.
