This is a wonderful group of contemporary buildings that offers a creative space for visitors to try their hand at crafting their own jewelry, pottery and glassware etc It is also a great area to view finished products for purchase. The craft house is located in a lovely woodland setting within Gora park . One would be tempted to try pottery or creating a glass product if you were staying in the area for a longer duration. Better to purchase a finish product that you can take with you.

娘と一緒にビーズでアクセサリーを作りました。有料チャームには一つ一つ意味があり、どらにしようか選ぶのが楽しかったです。娘はブレスレットで私はピアスを作りました。。いい思いでになりました。

It was fun but the only thing that wasn't great was that you couldn't glaze your ceramic piece yourself and they'd mail it to a Japanese address within 2 months. Obviously most tourists won't be around that long. I know they needed to fire my bowl and glaze it and re-fire it so I get that part.
What I didn't get was that my glass wasn't able to be taken home that day either. It would also be mailed within 2 months to a domestic address. My piece got broken when my friend brought it to me the next time she was in America.
I suggest finding some things that you can take with you if you're a tourist but if you're a local in Japan, this is AWESOME and the prices are reasonable. There is also a really nice onsen nearby to visit after.
They might have changed their policies by now.

友人と箱根旅行！1泊2日でしたが、2日間行きました。1回目は友人と似たデザインのピアスを作りました。2回目は彼にお土産としておそろいのブレスレットを作りました。とっても思い出に残りましたし、とっても素敵なアクセサリーを、作れました。また今月彼と箱根に行くので今度は一緒にデザインしておそろいのアクセサリーを作る予定です。
