南関東４場のうち、最もコンパクトな競馬場です。アクセスは南浦和駅から無料の送迎バスを使うのが便利だと思います。いつの間にか小綺麗なスタンドができており、驚きました。場内で売っている食べ物などには旧き良き鉄火場の雰囲気が残っており、非常に良いアトモスフィアが漂っていました。

We were in Tokyo for the Japan Cup races a few days before so were surprised to be literally the only Westerners at Urawa for a days racing.
This is a great track with superb viewing of the course and easy access to the paddock area ( sadly the winners circle is only used for big races ). There are loads of food choices from a market type area to stalls and outlets inside the grandstand as well.
Obviously everything is in Japanese so any Western visitors will need to use the internet on their phone etc to get some details of the runners and form. The betting requires you to fill out a ticket and place it in a machine but the information desk will be able to help you work out which box to fill in to indicate the track / horse number etc.
If you use the internet you can find out which days Urawa is racing, the track is an easy 15 minute walk from the station and admission is only 100 yen ( less than £1 ), any Horse Racing fan will enjoy their day !!

浦和駅、南浦和駅から徒歩15分とありますが、とてもその時間では歩けません。
ナイター設備もなく、かなりこじんまりとしていて川崎競馬場よりコースも建物も小さいです。売店の食べ物も充実とはいかず、きちんと食事と呼べるようなものは4角のすき家ぐらいしかありません。

南関東の競馬場で3つ目として訪れました。
JR南浦和駅東口から無料送迎バスが約5分間隔で運行しているので利用しやすいと思います。競馬場はまだ昔の面影が残る建物が多い。そして、食べ物やが豊富。一日中楽しめる競馬場だと思います。
