We had absolutely amazing dives with the staff from Scuba Club Langkawi. Their crew is not only very professional, but also funny and so devoted to their jobs. I've dived with many guides, these might be one of the best I've ever had.
Diving with you guys was such a pleasure.
People told us diving in Langkawi might not be worth it due to poor visibility and not a lot to see. They were right in terms of visibility (but even that was much better than expected). But they were so wrong in terms of marine life.
We went to the stunning marine park Pulau Payar. And what shall I say... It was one of the best dive experience we ever had.
Seahorses, crabs, shrimps, trevallies, barracudas, giant (yes: GIANT) groupers, blue spotted rays, eaglerays, stingrays, sharks... The ocean is teeming with life.
We even got a brydes whale encounter during surface time - breathtaking.
Ah, and I almost forgot: a whaleshark!!!
Thank you so much Scuba Club Langkawi. You will have us back.

About the trip : 1 diving ( first timer) + 1 snorkeling + camera rental rm100 (come woth the photographer)
My first diving experience. I have great blast thanks to them. We have older person on boat hence they promptuly chance location to cope with the seasickness. My advice is bring your shoes to the boat. Put in plastic and bring it with you. We learned our lesson due to change plan we go on pulau payar but we got our feet burnt. Overall great experience.
About the crew:
Love the vibe, Love the energy, love the professional guidance. But need to control on their smoking habit. Especially on the boat where the smoker are in front and the customer at the back.
Overall a great experience for me.
Will comeback again. Definitely

My daughter and a friend had excellent course under the care and guidance of Ciwi and Thai. After they were certified we all had a great day out in the marine park with two good dives.

First of all, I’d like to start by saying how nice the dive guide (Mooshi) was that my son and I had.
The issue of the day was that the dives really should not have gone ahead. Visibility was so poor that we seriously couldn’t see coral that was 40 cm away so almost everyone came off with cuts. I lost my son and Mooshi 2/3’s into the first dive within a few seconds and surfaced as with PADI safety.
Equipment was ageing. Throughout the dive, there was a constant stream of air escaping from my BCD power inflator. I also noticed an audible hiss from the BCD itself when I surfaced and found I had to inflate it a handful of times while getting to the boat. No snorkels were provided either. I also notified the team that the fins provided were pinching my foot. I’ve been nursing a cut on my foot since where the pinch created and burst a blister.
They switched my BCD on the 2nd dive but this also hissed in the water. A concern. Unfortunately I had ear ache on the second dive but visibility was bad again anyway. Spotting things was almost pointless.
As said, my son and I enjoyed the company of Mooshi and his team and on a positive note gained some poor visibility experience as the torch the guide used was needed. I’ve booked previous dives before this that have been cancelled with better conditions. There was a reason other dive companies on the island were closed until October.

Me and my family (parents + me + wife and 2 kids) had great snorkeling experience at Pulau Payar Marine Park with this company on July 14. We booked our tour from travel agency a week prior to the excursion. Everything was smooth and the Marine Park holds abundance of marine life.
The tour was about 5 hours with 45 minutes boat rides from Langkawi. We were provided with snorkeling gears, lunch and drinking water. Upon arrival we were taken to the hut on the beach where my parents and the kids can shelter from the sun. the are also toilet and changing room not far from the hut where we sheltered. There is almost no tourist on the island except our family and few other people from another company, very few and we felt exclusive.
Our guides, Jebt and Taru (not sure if i spell the name right) was very helpful and chatty. He guided and showed us so many fish in the water and it was our kid's very first time to have close encounter with blacktip reef shark and got us very excited especially the kids. There are also varieties of beautiful soft and hard corals (see pictures below).
We left the Marine Park at 12 noon as according to our snorkeling guide and the captain that wind would be blowing a little stronger if we leave later than that. The ride was smooth but a little bumpy as we approached Langkawi, but everyone was fine.
Overall experience was professional and fantastic and i would really recommend this company to all of you who are reading this review.

I would like to thank my instructor, Thai for helping me to overcome my fears and i finally became a diver. Very passionate instructor who would take you very patiently through out the skills and the dives.Lucky me that It was only me and the instructor in the group and no other (which i think helps me to learn faster i guess). The last two dives was better as i had gained much confidence and able to do all the skills. If you want to get diving license in langkawi please look for this club and look for Thai.

Fantastic experience with the door be team. Me and my friends did a day trip to some island for snorkeling and scuba diving. I find the team is very fun to be out with. The instructions were very clear and the boat ride was also fun!!

A shout out to Scuba Club Langkawi for a great day on the water! Special thanks to the team: Taii, the ultimate scuba pro, Moshee, the divemaster and leader of the party, Jebat, team snorkeling, and our trusted captain, Aiman.
While there are many days with great visibility, when we went out the visibility was almost none and the current was quite strong, but that led to an adventurous day of diving that was new and exciting!
Taii led us throughbthe dark currents with a flashlight as I stayed tethered to him with one hand. His steady pace and movements conveyed a sense of calm like that of a seasoned dance partner guiding you, only underwater. I loved itvand a better diver today because of it.
I want to go again to experience even more adventurous conditions (hopefully), and another day to enjoy the crystal clear waters for which they are known. There is a lot you can learn from Taii and you will have a blast with the group. It was the highlight of visiting Lankawi. Hope you'll spend a day with them too.
Sign up even if it's your first time. They will take good care of you, and make sure you are comfortable. You will be glad you did!

After not been Scuba diving for 5 years - it’s fantastic decision to do refresher course with This centre. I did a WhatsApp communication with Chris and she was prompted & very honest on the visibility. I had the ultimate aim to re- skill my techniques and was not disappointed. My dive instructor Fila and the crews were attentive. The groups were make up of varieties of divers. Each has our instructor. I gained valuable lessons and confidence training in this water. Thank you.

Hi would like to learn how to dive and get a license if possible. I mean get certified. What is the procedure, cost and fitness level required ?
Hi Ashish K,
Thanks for dropping a question. The procedure of getting certified is very simple. All you need to do is to come out and join in on an OPEN WATER DIVER course with any diving centre/school any place in the world. It can be taken up to a minimum of 3 days or 4 days.
The cost vary depending on the cost of operation of the dive centre that offers the service. We are charging RM1450 for all entry level training and we offer no discount.
Fitness level is moderate and you need to able to swim 200m and float about 15 minutes at sea.
Upon signing up, we will provide medical questionnaire form so you know whether or not your health condition is permitting for purpose or other wise.

Payment was made on site, day of dive.
For weather, best to email the club directly, they do close for part of the year due to unfavorable visibility.
When I first learned how to dive, I was not the strongest swimmer. That being said, it is a good idea to be confident in the water. To obtain an Open Water Diver qualification there is a swim test.

Hi Sandra, thank you for your inquiry. we start the open water diver course in daily basis but please do advise the date e5c as now is peak season in Langkawi. the price for fun dives is RM355/diver and it's for 2 dives. our accommodation are dorm and the price is RM30/NIGHT.

Usually they will do short course called DSD discover scuba diving, it’s kind of like a briefing for you to know what and how to scuba diving.
After the briefing You need to do some skills practice with your instructor to see if you are competent to enjoy scuba diving.
So frankly speaking 15mins obviously is not enough for the skills practice and fun time underwater. What I can suggest you is to email the dive operator for their daily operation.
Enjoy you try dive and hope you will join the club to become a diver to enjoy the amazing ocean.
