Street Food Experience
Thank you Jeremy for sharing your wealth of knowledge of the local area and the many cuisines that are available in Georgetown.
We thoroughly enjoyed tasting the different foods you selected for us.
The final tasting of the Nyonya food was so memorable we are returning to the restaurant tonight to enjoy more of it.

If you haven't been to Penang before then consider joining this tour to discover the many varieties of cuisines in the UNESCO zone.

We had already been to many of the places on the tour so we did not find any new foodie gems. However it was a nice night out to meet Jeremy and our group of travellers from around the world.

We ate in Little India, Kimberly Street and at a fab nyonya restaurant. Being a walking tour, there was some sight seeing included with commentary from Jeremy.

After the tour a summary list is provided, as well as further recommendations. Well done!

Amazing Penang Lunch Food tour
Had a fantastic lunch tour with Jeremy who was very knowledgeable and keen to share the history and stories of Penang. Not only did we visit some great places welearnt so much about the history of Penang, not just the food. The tour had a leisurely pace and was a great way to spend a few hours. A must do for anyone visiting Penang.

Must-do in Penang

A fantastic way to get the feel of what Penang is famous for. Jeremy was a brilliant guide and there was just the right amount of variation and stops on the tour. We were not rushed. Jeremy was very knowledgeable and covered the history and cultural influences on Penang street food. We also received a great email that included a reminder of where we had been and what we had eaten, along with a list of recommended places to try. It was useful and added some more benefits in the days after the tour as we worked our way around Penang street food.

A must do Tour!
When you come to Penang Island it is all about food and you need to know what you are eating so we booked a tour with Jeremy .
Jeremy is full of knowledge about Penang and the food.
We really enjoyed everything about it.

Wonderful tour
Do yourself a favor and book this tour while you can. Jeremy is a wealth of information on the history of Georgetown and Penang and of course on the food that’s available throughout the city. We loved that we got to try foods from different cultural backgrounds, and they were all good. Our favorites were the samosas ( we went back the next day to get some more) and the food at Bibik’s restaurant, which was the last stop at the tour. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Fab food tour

The food tour turned out to be a thoroughly great evening - fantastic food was accompanied by lots of information about Georgetown - about the history and the cultures. The group was small (5) which was a perfect number to form a small, discrete group, and the tour leader Jeremy, proved to be an incredibly knowledgable individual.

The real Penang foodie experience

Our host Jeremy was not only informative, interesting and enthusiastic about Penang's culinary delights but also its diverse history and melting pot of cultures. We discovered the hidden food stalls and experienced a fantastic variety of food on offer. Walking the streets and learning about how Penang was settled was a amazing. Our last stop for the night was a Michelin restaurant and was an amazing way to cap off what was one of the best food tours ever.
Fully recommend you try it.

Fantastic food & cultural walking tour, highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour (dinner), food and cultural walking tour with Jeremy.
This was a fantastic culinary experience of Georgetown which really added to our trip, it ensured we tried the right dishes at the right places. Plus you get a good understanding of the culture and history of the food, people and town. In addition, taking in the sights whilst walking around. Jeremy was super knowledgable, easy going and passionate. Food was great and covered the diverse range on offer in Penang.

Fantastic experience

We shared a wonderful day in Penang with Jeremy. He's a hugely knowledgeable and passionate guide. We crammed a huge amount of food and history into the tour and came away really feeling like we had an insight into what makes Penang's culinary traditions so rich and varied. The highlight was a visit to Bibik's Kitchen where we met the wonderful owner, Girly. Highly recommended.
