さて午前中の自由時間が終わり、
又半数の6人がオプションの島から戻って来て昼食に行き、
午後はまず南にあるサバ州立モスクに来ました。
サバ州立モスクの撮影スポット2です。
サバ州立モスクの中です。
メッカ方向に向かってお祈りしています。
お祈りしている人が2人いたので中に入ることは遠慮しました。

12時半、ホテルを12 人と現地添乗員で出発して、先ずランチを食べて、
プロムナードホテルから5kmほど南にあるサバ州立モスク Masjid Negeri に行きました。
サバ州立モスクの塔は高い。
Masjid Negeri の撮影スポットに連れて行ってくれてパチパチと撮る人とカメラを持っていない人。
サバ州立モスクの中に入りました。
お祈りしている人が2-3人いた。
又部屋の外の隅で寝転がっている人の方が多かった。
サバ州立モスクの水道です。
お祈りの前に洗って浄めるそうです。

The visit is not FREE as it says on the review. You have to pay MYR5 for entrance MYR5 for the dress to wear if you choose your own its MYR10. The place is beautiful and stunning architecture. The staffs inside are knowledgeable.

During a recent stay in KK, we made time to seek out this mosque, i had heard the architecture was impressive. It is!! the building is really stunning and unlike any other mosque i have visited.

As a family, we are Buddhist, but we still feel it's good for the kids to understand other religions. I've visited different mosques in the past, but this was the first experience for my kids. The place was clean and our guide gave us good insight on the place and their traditions. It's not for everyone, but I found it educational.

It’s a nice mosque between KK airport and the city center. You can come here to take some photos and buy some dry figs at the nearby mini-market. Surrounded by local Muslims. Not sure if a non-Muslim is able to get inside.

De moskee bestaat pas een paar jaar. Je wordt vriendelijk ontvangen. Je voelt je welkom.
Voor 5 rm (= 1 euro) mag je in de "voortuin" een foto maken van de moskee. (Kan ook aan de overkant van de weg)
Voor 5 rm mag je ook binnen kijken. Niet gepast gekleed? Krijg je van hun schone kleding. Dit vond ik mss wel de meest bijzondere ervaring.
Eenmaal binnen staan er medewerkers om je (met trots) te informeren over de moskee.

While in the city , you can just pass by this as there is nothing extra ordinary about it . Good for Muslims to offer prayers .

Our family of six pax visited the Kota kinabalu mosque,famous witth tourist.We paid a nominal fees to wear their traditional dres and went to the mosque.The people were very helpful and friendlyin accommodating us.WE were able to take some pictures and understand the requirements at the mosque.A good experience for tourist and people.

We are planning to go on Friday afternoon as that is the only time we have in KK.
The web site is a bit misleading- it says avoid visiting on a Friday, but then gives the shorter visiting hours of 14.00 to 17.00.
Can anyone advise please?

Is the Sabah State Mosque walking distance from Tanjung Aru beach or the North Borneo Railway station?

It is walking distance from Tanjung Aru but pavements aren’t great and disappear all together in places -it’s probably much easier to take a Grab (download the App) and only about RM 6-7
