Ilene was an amazing tour guide. Extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable. Our itinerary that she planned was way better than we ever imagined. Whale watching, bird watching, and snorkeling were what she planned for us. 3 hours on beautiful waters showing us everything about the area.
Highly recommend!!!!!

We had a very good day with Ilene and Terry whale watching and snorkeling. We saw a blue whale with a baby and another whale plus dolphins on top. Ilene had very good Informations about the whales and even an underwater microphone to hear them singing. When the kids got tired of watching the whales they took us snorkeling to an island and Ilene watched our little daughter on the beach while the other three of us were snorkeling with terry. So we had an awesome tour with them and would really recommend her and Terry!

Our experience with Pearl Islands Day Tours was spectacular! Ilene and Terry are the consummate hosts - warm, communicative, knowledgeable, and friendly - and gave our family a very special, personalized, and curated tour of the Pearl Islands and all their beauty. We saw amazing wildlife, enjoyed pristine beaches, and learned about the history and natural beauty of the area. Ilene and Terry helped our family plan the day in advance and everything went smoothly from beginning to end. If you want a personal experience that will create memories for a lifetime, look no further. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

Im sitting on contodora island in the pouring rain right now. I just got off two Hours of the tour on pearl island. It was pouring from before we got to the island. Iline reassured us it would be fine and had us pay her. Me and my pregnant wife then sat in a really rickety boat that did not protect us in the slightest shivering in the rain with the driver emptying buckets of rainwater from the boat doing whale watching which we did not want to do but did because it was raining. We then went to some restaurant to wait the rain out and she ordered lunch. After she finished she said the pouring rain was clearing. It clearly wasn't. We then went snorkeling in the rain to try to get something out of the tour and gave up after a min. We went back to shore and here we are. We were cordial through the whole thing and asked her if we can get some money back. She got really nasty on us. We are now here down $450 with nothing to show for it other than pictures of us dripping wet, literally on a rickety boat and some whales. We are now stuck on the island for another 3 hours till the ferry comes. Iline is a nice person. Sad it ended this way

Best day of our two week Panama vacation. Ilene Little is a fantastic tour operator for the following reasons: #1 Quick to respond to messages. (She checks WhatsApp regularly). #2 Custom tour itinerary that delivers. Our family of four wanted to snorkel. We thought rainy season meant that would be hard to do. Not for Ilene. She knew exactly where to go for visibility at any tide level and in weather that was changing by the hour during our tour. She showed us awesome birds like the blue footed booby. Got to see a small shark, numerous tropical fish, and there was even a whale sighting at the restaurant she guided us to. #3 Supports locals. Ilene hires local fisherman to captain the boat. She chooses locations and provides as much or little narrative as you would like while visiting sites. She can sense what the group wants and can pivot mid tour. #4 Builds relationships with local businesses and passes on savings. Special rates, free ride back to ferry from restaurant etc. #5 Understands people and is a fascinating storyteller. #6 Affordable option close to the city. There is beauty in the Pearl islands and they are a quick day trip from Panama City, easy even for our 9 year old. At the time of this writing I felt we got incredible value for our dollar on this tour. Custom doesn't always mean more expensive. Sometimes it just means you have found someone doing what they love that wants to share it with others.

Fantastic boat trip around the islands. Ilene has a passion for nature, the people and the islands. We snorkeled and saw incredible wildlife. Great time and I'd like to visit the islands again some day!!

Our experiences with Ilene were the highlight of our Panama trip. She arranged a trip for my friend and I and our recent high school graduates. I was able to fish, which I love - but nobody else does. We visited some amazing snorkeling spots and we even saw some dolphins.
But that’s just the start of our fun! Ilene invited our girls to help her teach her English class which they LOVED as they are both minoring in Spanish in college. Then she suggested a trip to Saboga island the next day - which we took and again had a wonderful time. We met locals, saw beautiful untouched beaches, toured a beautiful church and ate lunch at a local place. Just what we were looking for.
Upon first glance you could think that There’s nothing to do on Contadora and surrounding islands but Ilene showed us the local side of the Pearl Islands. Highly recommend!
But that’s just the start of our fun! Ilene invited our girls to help her teach her English class which they LOVED as they are both minoring in Spanish in college. Then she suggested a trip to Saboga island the next day - which we took and again had a wonderful time. We met locals, saw beautiful untouched beaches, toured a beautiful church and ate lunch at a local place. Just what we were looking for.

I saw this thread and thought it was exactly what my family and I were looking for but I couldn’t figure out how to book a tour! Maybe I am just not to savvy BUT I tracked Ilene down through some creative google searching and I found her. I just googled Ilene Contadora Island adventure and found her company Pearl island day tours and also on social media under contadora adventures.
I am so glad we got to do this. It was the highlight of our 16 day trip traveling around Panama. The pearl islands are gorgeous with turquoise water and the snorkeling was really exciting. We saw many schools of fish of different sizes, an eel and some puffer fish. Ilene thought of all the little details that made our day magical. We started our tour with fishing lead by a local fisherman and caught a beautiful big fish right away! They listened closely to our desires and customized the trips to what they learned our interests are on the spot. Ilene also has a wealth of knowledge about the area so we had some fascinating conversation about the history of the islands. After we snorkeled and fished, Eileen showed us some really beautiful spots of the island we could go to for eating and swimming. Such a great day

Ilene and Terry made our stay at Contadora a memory we will always cherish! Any questions or help we needed and they were always there for us. I wouldn't visit Contadora without hiring these two great people to show you the sites and help with tours!

Wonderful excursion with Ilene. She organized everything from our ferry booking to picking us up off the ferry. We had a wonderful time snorkelling, lots of beautiful corals and fish. We then went around visiting some islands and birds watching. Loved every minute of it. Ilene shared lots of interesting facts about the islands and their history. Definitely recommends this tour.

Hi, The tours start in Las Perlas; Isla Contadora. Getting here requires taking a 20-min flight or a 1 1/2hr ferry. There is not a pickup in Panama City, but I can recommend a driver and you can communicate directly with the driver who can quote you a price to get you to the SeaLas Perlas ferry based on the # iin your group and where you're staying.
