Great itinerary with beautiful guides. The academic cottage is a delight, liked the lakeside brooch (former mansion) and the exhibits of a closed glass factory with a century-old history.

Many times we went with this company: to Torzhok, Vyshny Volochok, Dmitrov, Lihoslavl. Usually everything went fine - except, perhaps, dinner-dinners (they are quite 'tourist', a lot, but it looks like dining food - except Dmitrov - there was a good restaurant level!). Usually excellent tour guides who know the area, and a busy program. So for the New Year's holidays 2025, we went to Tarusa. Total disappointment: 1) in the program besides interesting excursions (Tsvetayev, House of Literators, Paustovsky House) half (!) of the time occupied strange things: such as a shop of Moscow artists, exhibitions of Tsereteli in the local art gallery, an embroidery shop (where products were shown for sale for a long time. They spent most of their time indoors, hardly walking around town - and it was exhausting. It would be easy to shorten the tour to one day, leaving only significant items and a full walk. 2) the tour program is two days, we lived in Serpukhov 30 km from Tarusa (like there were no hotels for 17 people...) - and therefore spent 2 consecutive days on the road from Serpukhov to Tarusa and back 3) accompanying tour guide Angelica. She told practically nothing about passing places (Serpukhov, Tarus), but for some reason she spent hours (!) on the bus when crossing about her excursions in the Tver region. In general, we were disappointed - and mainly because the company, which presents itself as specialists in local history tours, this time worked, we thought, not quite professionally. Alas. Perhaps this tour is an exception to the rules, but if previously we were happy to recommend torzhok.me to acquaintances, now the impressions have been badly damaged.

Cool guide Pavel Morozov, who discovered so many interesting things in small and not very tourist towns. Suddenly a lot of raisins in off-the-beaten-up locations. Rich, bright, entertaining. I recommend it!

We were in Vyborg. The company is true to itself: the food is super (with even all personal features), the hotels are among the best in the city, the timing is very tight, although a little free time is always given) In the case of Vyborg, the local guide is not just a guide, he is an artist, erudite, just amazing!!! The set of places to visit is as cool as ever. Thank you for your beautiful tours!!! Very much loved to ride with you!!!

The weather at the end of November was a little scary, as on the second day a trip to the Nözdów mounds and to Flenovo was supposed, but everything went just fine. I'm going with this company for the third time, as always, they're very organized. Sergei (specially from Torzhka) accompanied us throughout the trip. Beautiful caring guides, especially Alexei in the Museum of Nest Mounds. We followed him for two hours in the woods like mesmerized men, and we would have walked for hours more, he said so interestingly. Ancient Russia opened up in many ways from an unexpected perspective. Beautiful Flenovo. You should wander around. Roerich’s marvelous mosaic, unexpectedly beautiful painted balalaikas and chests in the museum, many interesting facts about Tenesheva’s school and her life in general. And Smolensk liked it very much. The beautiful Assumption Cathedral, the austere temple of Michael the Archangel, the fabulous building of the former officers' assembly, the unexpectedly long fortress wall (thought, fragments), gardens, memorials and monuments. Stunning Museum of Russian Antiquity. I thought I'd surprise you with something else, but there's a lot about him. Traditionally interesting Historical Museum. And the Premier Hotel is beautiful. The rooms are small but good soundproofing, in the room kettle, cups, glasses, glasses, bathrobe, slippers, toothbrushes. Even the pillow menu. We're really good, regulars. Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. The only complaint about the hotel, or rather its cafe, was that at every meal they gave out a piece of cake, but there was no slicing at all in the morning. And there were no buns. Just bread and butter. You could save on cakes, but add slices in the morning and fruit at lunch, for example. Anyway, the trip was a success. It's better to take Minsk Swallow back. It's more expensive, but it's very comfortable. In Smolensk, however, very short distances between seats. Knees are uncomfortable, especially when you're sitting facing each other.

It is not about "brushed," imprisoned for mass tourists, it is not always about perfectly whitened cathedrals and "fashionable" cities. It's about Russia. Just the way she is... somewhere incompletely arranged, somewhere straight. It's about people who are kind and open, who love their small and, some have the only one, their homeland, and "infect" those around them with that love. About people who make their world and the space around them better, who learn and love their history, honor tradition. About professionals willing to share knowledge and skills. These are not schooled "smiles," they are "people in the natural environment." Before choosing a tour, consider what you expect from the trip and what you are willing to accept. One more time! These are not refined tours. Here and at the reception not always smile, and the mosquito will bite (sarcasm). But it's all such a minor thing! Nothing beats the emotions you take home and live with for a long time. Yeah, and the tour arrangements. Everything is more than understandable and accessible. No underwater rocks or deep-sea currents. Feeding is delicious, driving comfortably, there were no problems with hotels (noisy neighbors and increased audibility are the area of responsibility of the company). Incredible guides and tour guides, posh drivers. Once with the team "Expedition to Torzhok" could not stop. Smolensk, Vyborg, Tutayev, Pskov - this is not the whole list of our trips. And hopefully not definitive.

Guide Sergei talked about his hometown with passion and love! The concern, interest and desire to know better, deeper, more specific about the event, the people, buildings of Torzhka's native city and its surroundings is astounding to the core in this wonderful tour guide! They were making fire patties for dinner with the chef at Onyx. Souvenirs were embroidered with gold threads in a gold-sewing workshop that existed from the ages and is now an art college, which gladly took them home. In one day - a sea of impressions and it seems that we have been here for a week)).

Please pay attention to the position: Return from Tver to Moscow in a comfortable Lastochka. So we returned after a good gastronomic trip, approximately September 23, 2023. A couple 75+, standing, stood for 1 hour 45 minutes on foot. The train was just about to depart, there was a sea of people waiting, because it was Sunday evening. The crowd, as in the old days, carries you into the carriage and, if you are not close to the entrance, then where you brought it in - stand there. You can imagine the impression of the trip. You should not expect that you will return comfortably to Moscow by Lastka at 18-00; prepare in advance to take a later and less comfortable train.

I only regret one thing: it took too long to get ready for the expedition with these amazing people. The guide Sergey is simply a storehouse of knowledge about the places we visited and not only, he generously shared it, and did not just work out the program. Excellent, attentive driver Alexander, enthusiastic guides in the places where we stopped. On the trip to Krasny Holm and Vesyegonsk, everything was organized clearly, the food was good, and the hotels were good too. I've already signed up for the next expedition!
