If you do not want to listen to boring lectures of a drowsy guide, but have entertainment instead you should contact tourist company Bridge. Those guys will make you happy, believe me. I have never met people so easy to deal with.
I will not describe the beauty of St. Petersburg (it is difficult). Better to see.

Our family of 5 went on a day tour with this company and it was exceptional. Alena was a pleasure to work with during preparations, very helpful and responsive to our needs. She had arranged everything exactly how we wanted it. Olga was our guide. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and made our experience highly enjoyable. We had no idea what to expect in Russia - it is amazing. We booked a 2 day tour in St. Petersburg and a 1 day tour in Moscow - not enough; we would have booked longer tours if we knew how much there was to experience and how much we would love it.

Olga Melnik was by far the best guide we have ever had. We felt very comfortable from the start with her cheerful & bubbly personality & her English was very good. We were able to laugh & joke all the way as well as getting a fantastic insight into the sights & history of the attractions we visited. You can see from the other reviews which are almost all rated Excellent that our rating is not an exception. Thanks Olga for making our stay in St Petersburg most memorable.

The bridges actually begin opening around 1:30 am and each opens in a different way. Some open both sides, some just one and each has varying colored lights and sculpturing upon it. The view of the skyline as you cruise along the canal is marvelous!

We used a tour guide named Olga Melnik from Bridge-Travel. She was wonderful. She knew all the key attractions, and the history behind them. She was very attentive to our needs, and made the touring process as comfortable as possible. Her price is reasonable. I would highly, highly recommend her.

We did a 4 day tour with Olga Melnik. She was extremely friendly, knowledgable and truy went the extra mile to ensure our visit to St Petersburg was memorable for all of the right reasons. I have already recommended her to friends with hopes they will visit this beautiful city and have Olga as their guide. She is first-rate and we were delighted to have been in her company.

Olga made this trip a success. We were part of a group of 24, but no one got lost, even in the Hermitage. You need a sympathetic guide who is on your side to navigate the crowds in some sites. She organised extra trips for those of us who wished it. She answered our questions.

St. Petersburg is an amazing city but the best part was having Olga show it to us. Her breath of knowledge is impressive, but we loved the little stories she shared that provided insight into the character and personalities of people who built this city. That made it doubly interesting. We loved the variety of things from the magnificent churches and palaces to the subway and market. We felt that she opened the city up for us during the 2 days we were there. Olga was recommended to us by our neighbour and we highly recommend her to you.
