I was in Kunming only for a week. That was a very short trip on my way to Hanoi. Frankly nothing much in Kunming . There are parks. Pagodas and temples. We went in November and the weather was about 17C. Not a word of English they speak unless you hire a tourist guide. I understand that the weather is about the same throughout the year. Stone Forest is about 45 minutes away from the center of and due to the vast expanse of the attraction, it is unlikely to be completed within 4 hrs and knowing that unless, you start at the crack of dawn, it will probably allocate 3/4 of a day. Western Hill is another huge development that includes cable car and golf buggy and will also take 3/4 of a day. My advice - For the list you mentioned, allocate 2 days, as follows :- Visit Stone Forest on day one and Western Hill on Day two.
