This was the only attraction open the day we visited from Arima Onsen, and we had to transfer across two bus routes to get to this place. It was quite a fun time and we ended up spending around three hours here.
It is a working farm, and you can see sheep with their new lambs in the hillsides. There was even a Sakura tree in bloom.
They also have horses, Shetland ponies, goats and cows (even one named Lamboghini or Maserati), and there was even Sheepdog guiding demonstration. The grounds are rather vast and also hilly, so good walking shoes are a must. There is a small kiosk near the carpark gate where you can buy ice cream etc, but we opted for lunch at the other end of the carpark. They have a steak eatery, as well as a bakery where you can have sandwiches and bread.
Do visit the souvenir shop next door, where they sell local snacks and products includingQBB cheesecake and truffle cheeses, and ice cream or yoghurt ices.
Do take note of the bus times, as they mostly operate on the half hour only.

神戸の六甲山にある市営の牧場。羊が放し飼いにされていて、日本とは思えないようなのどかな風景が広がっている。カフェやレストランもあるので、一日中のんびりしてもいい。子供ずれにもおすすめのスポット。

南入口にあるQBBのレストランでチーズフォンデュを食べました。
お試しセットという1500円位のものはパンだけで、その他少し野菜やソーセージを加えた2000円位のものを頼みました。車なのでワイン抜き牛乳入りのフォンデュにしました。
なのでチーズ感というよりミルク感を感じました。
他の人はサラダが足されたものや食材の多いセットを食べているようです。
若い人だとこのコースは物足りなく感じるでしょう。
QBBの隣にホットドック的なもっとカジュアルな食事ができる場所がありました。
南入口にはチーズソフトクリームがあります。
牧場の中では自販機の飲み物はありますが、食事はできないようです。

放牧されている羊、600円でコーナー一周できる馬乗り場、乳牛、100円で餌やりできるヤギ、時折シープドックの訓練やショーがあります。
客はみな、羊の毛の感触と温かさで癒されて、またベンチで海まで見える景色を見てくつろいでいました。大きな羊は毛を刈られて短毛でゴワゴワして、子羊はまさしくムートンのふわふわした手触りでした。

生憎の雨。日程的にその日にしか行けなくて、客もまばらで寂しい場内だった。動物も室内待機で他に特段見るべきものもなく、広いだけに雨の中移動もおっくうで、ショップの建物で時間つぶしの有り様。家族7人で訪れたので、入場料だけで3,500円と駐車場代はちょっと痛い出費になってしまった。雨の日は避けた方が良いし、それでも行った場合は入場料の割引とかして欲しい。
ただ一つ、ソフトクリームは美味しかった。

八月1日に京都から1時間10分ほどで六甲山牧場へ。
北入口の駐車場に500円で駐車。タイムズみたいに自動精算。南エリアへ牧場を歩きます。涼しいですが、娘をおんぶしていくと汗をかきます。
大きな馬や牛、小型の馬や山羊、羊がたくさんいました。ほとんどの動物は触れることができましたが、新型コロナのことがあり、私たちはほぼ触れませんでした。
南エリアへ向かう途中、涼しい丘だよ、という案内版あり。ここはまあまあ涼しく、見晴らしも良かったのでおにぎりを食べ、南エリアへ。
南エリアではチーズやパン、チーズミルクソフトや、そのシェイクが。シェイクをのみ飲みましたが、中々美味しかったです。
帰りは妻たちを南エリアにおいておき、私だけ北エリアへもどり、車を取ってきました。
注意
①北入口の駐車場へ戻る際には、南エリア駐車場を抜けて道路へ出て、北エリアへ戻らないと、来た道を戻ると凄く大変です。
②北エリア駐車場で領収書をもらえます。そうすると南エリアの駐車場も無料になります。
③40を超えると腰や体力的に広大な土地なので疲れます。
④動物園よりも近くで動物に触れられ、気温も低めで過ごしやすいと思います。

初め年間パスポートを購入せずに入場、十分楽しみ帰宅。それを繰り返してるうちに気付けば一年で３回も訪問してました。年間パスポートを買っておけばよかったと後悔！

公立施設なのでお値段が安い。市街地から少し離れた交通の便が悪いところにあるので人が多くない。そもそも広大な施設なので、人出は気にならない。
この広大な牧場に、多くの羊が放牧されています。自由に触れ合うことが出来ます。
日本中で、こんなに多くの羊と触れ合うことができる施設なんて、ほかにないのではないかな。

神戸市の施設で料金も安いです。広い敷地で多くの動物と触れ合えます。幼児・児童向けの学習としてもまあまあ適しています。
市立なので仕方がないと思うが、レストランやベイカリーショップ以外の入場料と土産物屋は現金のみです。土産物屋ぐらいはカードがつかえたらなぁと思いました。

Anyone here been able to use their Kansai Thru Pass for the Hankyu Rokko bus from Rokko Cable Sanjo Stn. to Rokkosan Pasture? I know the Maya Sky Shuttle is not covered by this pass so I wonder if it's better for us to take the Hankyu Rokko bus for Rokkosan Pasture (and eventually to the Mt. Maya area), in case the Kansai Thru Pass covers it. Hope to hear from you!

I checked the Rokkosan pasture website, The operating date is until 5 November 2015 and re-open in March 2016. However, they are written in Japanese and I can't be absolutely sure. Can anyone confirm this?

I am Mr Yap from Singapore. My family has planned to visit Rokkosan pasture & farm on 23 November 2015. I went to official Kobe Rokkosan website that shows below
Business hours: 9:00 - 17:00 (3/20 - 11/5, August: Weekends and holidays open until 18:00)
Closed: 4月～10月は無休(11月～3月は火曜日、祝日の場合翌日)
Does the farm close on 23 November 2015? Please advice. Thanks you very much.

Hi all,
We are from Singapore. My family has planned to visit Rokkosan Pasture and Farm this coming 23 November 2015.
I just know that 23 Nov is Labour Thanksgiving public holiday in Japan.
I am concern it will be very crowded.
May I know should I have to reserve ticket for hanky-kobe railway, ropeway to Mount Rokko, or entry tickets to Rokkosan Pasture?
Please advice. Thanks very much.

I hope you have fun with your family on your coming trip! From what I know, you can't reserve these tickets in advance but you can only purchase it at the respective stations/places.
As for entry to these places, I suppose it won't be really crowded.. I have been to these places a few times on different occasions and I think Saturday or in the middle of long holidays are usually crowded. Since the next day is a working day, I do not suppose it will be busy or crowded.. :)

We did not use public transport. Luckily my cousin lives in kobe took us by his car.
You probably see this info on Rokko Farm web site but if not, it says three ways to get there and an extra seasonal shuttle bus to the farm. (sorry this place doesnt allow me to paste the link)
According to my cousin, if you want to see animals, or you want your kids to see animals, Kobe Animal kingdom might be better choice in terms of accessibility.
Sorry i cannot help you much.
