So we came to Bulgaria to try it out. Myself, two daughters.
Myself and eldest daughter had Dani and my youngest had Yuri.
Dani was fun and crazy… her nickname is Crazy Mosquito :))) she’s brilliant. We had great instruction and lots of fun. We will definitely come back. Dani pushed my daughter just that little bit harder. Practicing parallels after one week skiing! Dani was very pleasant and helpful too. Brilliant. Loved it. A shame it closed early because of the weather.
Yuri was superb with my youngest daughter. So calm and patient and really helped her learn quick from a total beginner. By the 3rd day she could ski and started on parallels.
Would really recommend this company. It was like private tuition as it’s a small school. Yet so professional and organised. We wished we had hired our equipment from them too. Will do next time.
Thanks so much everyone. You were great!!

All staff were amazing, my group were with Yuri, who is an excellent ski instructor and extremely patient and helpful both with skiing knowledge and tips about borovets!

Excellent service and a great price. We used the ski school for our children and both Petra and Dani were amazing, taking our novice skiers from basic green runs to building their confidence up to do black runs over 3 days. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Excellent experience with Hunters Ski and special tanks to Neil Burton getting our 5yo boy on the ski for a first time and the progress he made was amazing. 👍
Highly recommend.

Another great experience with Hunters, ski package (equipment and lift pass) really easy to deal with and great communication on email and good value.

Friendly and helpful snowboard instructor but they struggled with organisation during busy school holidays. Next time think I will organise private lessons . Man in snowboard hire shop grumpy and unhelpful. Boards ok but boots were old damaged and smelly

Easy equipment rental. Went the day before rental started to get fitted to make the first morning less hectic. Had the best instructor, Neil. Approachable, patient and very encouraging. Everyone made loads of progress under his instruction, would highly recommend.

The service was terrible, unfortunately the guy working in the ski shop could not be bothered. Constantly laid on on the bench when we walked in, not bothering to move or get up. Everything seemed to be an issue, wanting more money. Paid for the premium package, and we did get good skis however all the poles in our group were given to us bent. Disappointing.

Where to start... We booked a Hunters package as it had lots of good reviews and seemed one of the largest in Borovets. We arrived a day before skiing and visited the shop at about 4pm to sort our equipment out - we had arranged this in advance with the office. They seemed displeased we were there and it was chaos. Tiny shop, people everywhere, equipment everywhere. They didn't have the right size in lots of things including helmets. The two staff members were doing their best but there was no system or order to anything. Eventually we got everyone kitted out (but had to go to another shop for snowboards where it was much calmer - they had also run out of kit so we got free upgrades which was good). We left the ski kit in the shop and went to our chalet.
The next morning we arrived with plenty of time before our lessons. The shop was chaos once again, but worse. Equipment we thought we had reserved couldn't be found. There was no space to put boots on. It took 45 mins to get four kids kitted out. We therefore missed the lesson meeting time but were told not to worry as the instructor would come back. We made our way round to anopther building where some signs were leaning against the wall. Some adults who'd been waiting a while were complaining that people with them had been put in mixed ability groups. Eventually after another 10 mins a man came and said to follow him. Luckily I went with my kids as he walked off across the main road with a collection of kids and adults following. He didn't stop to help them across the road - they would have just had to cross if I wasn't there (all under 10 years old).
We were told to wait at the bottom of the slopes where we stood for another 10 mins whilst two men talked on phones and went back and forth. By this time the lessons should have started over an hour before. Eventually I decided to take my kids out. It was clearly disorganised and chaotic - not a good sign when you're about to leave your kids alone for hours every day in another country.
The other dad and I went back to the office and asked for a refund for the lessons. The staff were helpful and arranged this (although we didn't get much back as it had been a package). We then went to the 'main' ski school at the bottom of the learner slop and arranged lessons there. They were very helpful and we soon had our kids up and running. Bibs, numbers, emergency contact cards, timings etc. all present and correct as you'd expect. It worked out much more expensive due to using two companies but our kids were happy and could ski just a few days later.
Overall I would avoid Hunters based on my experience. Clearly not set up to deal with the volume of people they get every year at Feb half term.

We have just returned from a 1 week skiing trip in Borovets, we used Hunters (our preferred choice) Ski school, equipment hire and instruction.
This year we were taught by Boro Ordevdki who took care of our every need. Our family (3) couldn't of hoped for a better instructor, Boro's tuition is at the highest standard, he was born to teach as he clearly loves his job! Initially we all skied around intermediate level, by the end of the week we were strong, to advanced. We found Boro to be highly professional, extremely patient and always going above and beyond. I cannot recommend Boro highly enough. Thank you Hunters and Boro for the best Ski week. 👌

I cannot ski now due to a spinal injury. If I book the ski package for my daughter (16 years, good intermdiate) does the group have lunch together or will I need to meet her? Thank you

Am thinking of booking snow boarding lessons with you. Do you hire jackets and trousers?

Hi. Please could you let me know how many people were in the adult ski lessons? Wondering whether to pay more for the premium package and have max 6 in a group?
เขียนเมื่อ 29 มกราคม 2020
Hi
We had 2 beginners and 4 intermediate/more advanced.
The beginners group was around 8-10 people on first day, but a few left and during week was smaller group of about 7.
Intermediate group again started about 8 first day then people left and by end of the week there were 5 of us which was great.
So up to you. My advice would be if you are of a similar level then book a private group Of 6 for you all with one instructor.
Have a great time!

Hi I'd like to book daily group lessons for myself and my 6 year old son. Do all the lessons break for lunch in the middle? Is it possible for me to meet my child for lunch?
เขียนเมื่อ 1 มกราคม 2020
My partner & I used to meet in the Silver Fox which is a little way up the slope. That is where the ski instructors seem to have lunch so that was our daily meeting place.
