Duża pagoda a właściwie stupa zawierała w sobie mnóstwo cennych przedmiotów i relikwie w niej zamurowane .Miała być przecież miejscem kultu.. Mówi się nawet o 40000 cennych kamieni , wyrobów złotniczych itp. Z czterech dawnych sklepionych sal do składania ofiar pozostała dziś tylko jedna . I to wydaje się bardzo okrojona .Właśnie wejście prosto od rzeki [ od wschodu ] prowadzi nas do wnętrza kapliczki . Jedyne wybielone odróżnia się od pozostałych zaniedbanych . Jednak sama w sobie skromną kapliczka wewnątrz może rozczarować. W takim spektakularnym miejscu można by się spodziewać czegoś innego .?

マンダレーに来た目的の１つがミングォンを訪れること。このパヤーの大きさに感嘆し、中の部屋の狭さに笑ってしまいました。上までは登れませんが、途中の柵までなら行けました。ただし、裸足になるので、火傷に注意です。ここ以外も白い仏塔、大きな鐘、ライオン像など見る価値ありと思いました。小旅行におすすめです。

King Bodawpaya built the pagoda in 1790. He used thousands of people to build this pagoda. This constructions were very heavy constructions. He wanted to be the largest stupa in the country. But it finished one-third (50)m in height, the basement only. It was because of the Buddhist's rumour. The rumour is that if the stupa were finished, the whole country would be in trouble (or) the King would die. If it finished whole stupa, it would be largest stupa in the country. In 1838, this stupa were destroyed by the earthquake.

シンピューメとここを目的に来訪
来た甲斐がある素晴らしい壮観な佇まいだった。正面や左側はおみやげ屋さんや電線電飾などあるので右側と裏側に回り込むのがおすすめ。段に上がる時は裸足になる必要あり。

The Mingun Pahtodawgyi or Mingun Pagoda is a massive unfinished pagoda built at the end of the 18th century, that was meant to be the largest pagoda in the country, but the work was halted because of the belief that its completion may bring bad luck to the kingdom. It is possible to climb to a part of the Mingun pagoda by staircases where we found countless incense sticks stuck on the wall of the pagoda – you cannot climb to the top as it has been closed after few accidents. There are remains of two giant Chinthes – leogryph meaning lion-like structures you see in front of pagodas and temples – about 29 m high, guarding the temple right in front of the pagoda facing the river.

A Mingun si arriva con una barchetta da Mandalay. La durata dell’attraversata è di circa 1 ora / tre quarti d’ora. Consigliamo di prendere il traghetto alle 9.00 così da essere tra i primi a visitare questi luoghi per evitare la folla. Rientro per le 12.00/13.00 ( riuscite a visitare tutto in due ore circa con una guida che vi porta in giro con il suo mezzo). Per fare le foto senza troppi turisti andate sul lato posteriore meno frequentato.

Acribillada por terremotos poca cosa queda en pié. A parte de que jamás fué terminada. Sitiada por pesados y agobiantes vendedores que prácticamente no te dejan hacer una foto.

１９世紀初めのボードーバヤー王の命により、世界最大の仏塔となるはずでしたが、王の死に伴い工事が中断、未完となってしまいました。残っているのは一辺が７２ｍの台座部分ですが、その大きさは圧倒的なものがあります。地震によりあちこちヒビが入ってますが、北東の端には階段が設けられており、上まで登ることができます。

We traveled to Mingun from Mandaly on the Irrawaddy river & our first stop once we got to Mingun was the Pathodagyi Pagoda (also known as the "unfinished pagoda"). This was due to the king at the time it was started dying & the local subjects did not want to proceed after his death. A huge structure & there is only one small part you can go in. You can climb some stairs half way up but the gate is now closed to the top as there was an accident with a traveler so the government locked the gate.
