Great place! I got a flight (really liked that they had plenty of non-IPA options) and a tee shirt, and my mom got a geocache (outside, acessible 24 hours), so we were both happy. Nice atmosphere, nice, knowledgeble bartender.

Avondale had a nice size outdoor area with a large stage but seating and shade are in short supply. There are a few metal picnic tables, most of which were scattered about near the port-o-johns. You need a friend to help you move one to the open grassy area. Many patrons brought chairs. The beer selection was great; I'd just say be prepared if you plan to sit outside (chair + hat).

Great place to grab a beer, sit outside, and listen to live music. Bring your pup! Food trucks on site. Indoor bar area is being remodeled and is currently closed.

Tons of open space, good sound quality and good sized stage. Staff and security seemed to be good too.

Relaxed vibe, great view of stage- small enough to feel intimate for music. Good beer and hard seltzer, enough bars, decent number of loos, parking not too tough. Gets great bands!

Went to see Manchester Orchestra. This was an ideal venue. It was my favorite show of theirs and I think it's because of Avondale. Sound was perfect. There was plenty of space to move around. Just loved it.

Went in the mid-afternoon on a weekday so the place was only populated by a few folks. Bartender was quick, helpful, but not hovering. Very interesting building. Walked out behind the place where there is a small outdoor concert venue. Standing room only, although there are a few small tables scattered around. Another large bar out there. My visit was a short one, but I definitely got the feel that I will be back

This brewery is located in a turning hip area of Birmingham - Avondale. They have great beers. My all time favorite from here is the Vanillaphant. It's a vanilla porter. Yummy! They have a great inside bar and outside bar and lots of outdoor seating as well. To top it off, they have a permanent stage for great music groups. Looking forward to seeing a band soon.

The food was good... the service was good and the beer was good. Would recommend this place for anyone, including families because there were places the little ones could play.

We went to the outdoor area at Avondale for the St. Patty's event, it was FANTASTIC. I really love the feel of the outdoor seating area and being able to get beers on tap. There were tons of people with dogs, which made it extra fun for me. There were food trucks available as well and a band playing. I will definitely return once I get to Birmingham again.

It’s not a huge area, but big enough for a decent crowd. I would estimate maybe 150-200 packed tightly.

I don’t think so. They are a brewery. It might be worth a call to see if they could make any recommendations for you. Or....give one of their milder ales a try. The servers are quite knowledgeable and could give you several excellent recommendations.
