Amazing collection and super hosts who have a passion and deep knowledge of shells from the Adriatic and across the world. We talked for a long time and many special stories were shared with me about the sea creatures. I wholeheartedly recommend you visit. They also do educational visits for schools and community groups and care for the collection from the heart - trying to raise environmental awareness. Thank you so much

Whoever comes to Osijek and wants to hear something completely different, something that they will only realize at the exit of the museum how much they actually do not know and how much they have learned by visiting the museum, should definitely visit the Museum of Shellfish and Aquatic Life at the Fortress in Osijek.
How many of us have dived and visited the world's seas or oceans, how many of us wanted to transfer our experiences and knowledge to young people, how many of us have the patience and will to tell a story and maintain concentration to children up to 7 years old, how many?
There is a married couple, there is a place where you have it all in one.
There is a place where you will stay for at least three hours (like us), and feel that you have not yet heard and seen everything.
Thank you, we are grateful because you managed to transfer one to us part of your enthusiasm and knowledge.
Visit this impressive place where you can also buy some souvenirs in the form of corals, pearls,...

This is a MUST SEE when you are in Osijek, many people miss it for not knowing that something like this even exist in Osijek.
We visited museum in 2013 and now in October 2022, now with kids (7 and 5). Stayed there for 3 hours, heard such an interesting stories, history, seen beauty of the see, some rear examples of sea shells, sponges, fishes etc.
Mr. Vladimir and his wife are so enthusiastic and have so much knowledge that it is a great pity not to hear what they are so willing to share.
You can also buy jewellery there (corals and pearls) for good prices!!!

Музей морских обитателей, тут представлены в большом количестве раковины, ракушки, моллюски и прочие жители глубин. Можно сходить если нечего делать

It is incredible that in so little space you can find out and learn about so many species. It is interesting that all exhibits are only small part of bigger collection that is carefully collected for many years by the guide himself and his family. You can contribute to their collection by bringing them shells or snail house that you find on a river bank or coast as a gift (but remember to tag place where you find it).

We could stay for hours in the museum. The guide had a story for each part. Some of the parts were free to dive now are forbidden. You can e-mail them to organised the visit because they do not have web on English : udrugagloriamaris@gmail.com Them do not work on Mondays and holidays other days
