The Highlight of a Memorable Trip
This is a whole-hearted recommendation for Eduardo Meneses. My friend and I met Eduardo as our guide on a walking tour of Guayaquil prearranged by a tour operator. As he showed us the highlights of the city he clearly loves, we were impressed by his knowledge and sense of humor. It was our good fortune to learn he was available until 4:00 pm the next day, and he offered a trip featuring visits to the bird-abundant Churute Mangroves Preserve by boat, a forest walk in search of howler monkeys, and lunch and hands-on experience at a family-owned cacao plantation. Our last day in Ecuador was the highlight of a memorable trip. It was truly our good fortune to make Eduardo's acquaintance. We learned much and had fun while doing so.

La città è veramente brutta sconsigliata , non andate ,

Mi dispiace molto che tu non abbia trovato nulla di attraente nella mia città. Probabilmente hai fatto una passeggiata senza una guida autorizzata e senza informazioni sui luoghi da visitare. Inoltre, vale la pena notare che non hai fatto un tour con noi

Ein traumhaft schöner Tag in Guayaquil
Eddi,ist ein toller und sehr netter Tourguide.Wir hatten einen traumhaft schönen Tag. Wir haben viel über die Natur Ecuadors gelernt und wahnsinnig viel gesehen.Eine besondere Überraschung, Eddi macht Fotos von der Tour und stellte sie uns in einer Cloud zur Verfügung. Ein rundum gelungener Tag, jederzeit wieder mit Eddi!!!!

Guayaquil city tour from a new perspective.
I have been coming to Guayaquil for over 15 years. This trip I had my daughter with me. Eddie gave us a city tour that was off the charts outstanding! He showed us the city through his eyes. I have a new found love for the city and see why it is commonly referred to as the Pearl of the Pacific. If you are fortunate enough to find yourself in Guayaquil, a city tour or adventure with Eddie is a must! He is very personable and extremely knowledgeable about what he does. He speaks flawless English and is well versed in many cultures around the world. You will not regret hiring him. He is in a class by himself!

Excellent Tour of the Churute Mangrove Reserve and Coca Farm

We toured with Eduardo and had a great time! We saw lots of wildlife including howler monkeys, a sloth, crocodiles and I added 25 different birds to my life list. The Churute Mangrove Ecological Reserve had several different areas- we took a boat thru the mangroves, which was great, we walked in the dry forest and we mostly drove but stopped to look at birds in the area where small farmers, and shrimp hatcheries dotted the landscape. Eduardo shared his extensive knowledge about all the wildlife, as well as about the local culture. Early on, we had stopped at a huge fruit market, and he gave us fruit to snack on as we traveled.

Later, we had a delicious lunch at a cocoa farm and leaned how cocoa is farmed and prepared. Lastly, we made chocolate bars.

All in all, it was a great day!

Trip to Galapagos and Montañita

We booked a family trip to Galapagos and Montanita with Eduardo. We are nature lovers and we were lucky to have Eduardo as a guide, who in a very entertaining and professional way told us everything we needed to know about the history and nature of the places we visited. A highly recommended experience!! He is also a great photographer, and thanks to him we have unforgettable memories of these trips.

A good way to see the city for those who enjoy walking
Our group of 16 had a ore-arranged walking tour with Eduardo of Guayaquil city highlights. The total tour was approximately 3.5 hours with a convenient break before tackling the hills of old Guayaquil which gave some tour members a chance to bow out which all but 4 of us did. Eduardo was well-informed about everything we saw and we covered a lot of ground. From buildings, to murals to city history, Even iguana park!

One observation - and I’m sure it’s difficult to keep 16 people , of various ages, moving - but a few tour members commented that Eduardo was very regimented about it and that was a negative for some.

I’d also like to point out that an elderly member of the group felt unwell during the tour snd eduardo immediately arranged transportation back to the hotel and ensured this woman was safely transported. It was really a kind gesture .

Great Guayaquil Mangrove and Chocolate Tour

I really enjoyed the mangrove tour, but making chocolate was probably the highlight. Eddie is very knowledgeable and lots of fun as well. He is passionate about his country and city and shares his pride and knowledge fully.

A great trip

I contacted Eddie as we only had until 1500 to do a tour and he agreed to take us to the Churute Eco reserve and miss out the chocolate experience - which is what we wanted.
Unfortunately, the day before our tour he tested positive for Covid, but contacted a replacement guide so that we could still take the tour. Simon, our replacement guide was fantastic and we had a wonderful few hours at Churute, journeying through the Mangroves and then walking the howler monkey trail.
I obviously can't comment on Eddie as a guide, as we never met him, but I can comment on his professionalism in finding us another very good guide within 24 hours so that we were not disappointed and could take the tour we wanted.

Amazing trip to Galapagos, Montañita and Guayaquil

We booked a 4 day trip to the Galapagos and 3 days to Guayaquil and Montañita, we had the best time possible as we had a great guide who knew all about de Ecuatorian culture and it's beauty. We also have a passion for nature and Eduardo was able to explain to us every detail of every specie taking us to the best locations possible to admire it.
