Forse l’ipunica attrazione di Siwa che ci ha delusi. È una cisterna d’acqua sopra ad una sorgente naturale, abbastanza sporca e mal tenuta. La leggenda narra che la stessa Cleopatra si immergesse qui, lasciando il nome alla sorgente. Per me si può evitare.

Lugar para bañarse y sentir agua caliente , nos tocó una época de mucha visita, así que había caos. Pero entretenido a la vez, hay redtaurant y cafés para poder tomar algo relajado.

People go here to bath in the water. (For as far as anyone knows, Cleopatra was never here.) It smells of rotting vegetation. Past it up.

C'est un endroit énormément visité à Siwa, lieu incontournable pour les touristes mais il y a plus simple dans la région et au calme pour nager après une chaude journée.

Warm, crystal clear spring water that bubbles up from the rocks. Don’t be afraid to go for a swim, the water is fine.

The Cleopatra Spring is surrounded with many shops and cafe, which makes it not the perfect location to relax, bu the spring is surrounded with coffee shops where you can set and drink something to refresh, the spring it self is not that clean, but you can still swim in it

Cleopatras Bad war auf dem Weg zum Tempel von Amun und des Al-Wahi Tempel. Es war nur mäßig besucht. Ein nicht großes Becken, wenn auch tief und einige Cafés und Shops. Man kann es auf dem Weg mitnehmen, mehr aber auch nicht.

It's just a spring that the locals swim in. But there are some cute local cafes to just relax in surrounded by peacefulness and very serene.

Esta piscina é conhecida como sendo a antiga piscina de Cleópatra, daí a sua fama. A água é clara, portanto irá passar-lhe pela cabeça um mergulho de última hora. Atreva-se.

how can i spend 2 days in both matrouh and siwa? Any suggestions?

Two days is not much. It all depends on what your priorities are. If it is the beach spend more time in Matrouh. If you love the atmosphere of a unique oasis keep Matrouh as short as possible. There is much more in Siwa than only what tourism sites mention (tombs, Amun temple, Cleopatra pool, Dakrour). I would advice you to go to Albabinshaal and ask for Salama who knows Siwa as no one else. In summer there is sand bathing. Khaled does great massages. There are hot-water springs that are a true joy to be in. There are a number of very interesting foreigners living long time in Siwa with each of them a remarkable story and much more.
