Great place to buy Tahitian Pearls! Eva is the best!

My husband and I were visiting Moorea for the first time. We were with friends and they were interested in buying some pearls. After we all looked at the reviews, we decided that Eva Perles Pearl Buying would be the best. We were correct in our thoughts! Eva was warm and friendly as we entered the shop. She showed us around and educated us on all things Tahitian Pearls! She is very knowledgeable and there was no pressure to buy anything. We originally wanted earrings for our daughter, but found a necklace that we liked better. Our daughter LOVES it and wears it everyday! We would highly recommend Eva! We left feeling like we had made a new friend!

The ONLY place I would recommend you look for jewelry on Moorea!

My wife and I were on our second trip to Moorea in March 2020 and I wanted to bring back a memorable souvenir...pearls. You can find pearls anywhere on this island...the questions that you need to ask are as follows; 1) Are these real? 2) Are they from F.P.? 3) Quality of mounting hardware? 4) Unique? 5) Cost?

After reading other reviews we decided to stop here (Eva Perles) and we were NOT disappointed. Upon entering, we were greeted by Eva and we knew in our hearts that we found what were were looking for! Never once were we pressured into buying anything. Eva was friendly and professional...not to mention extremely knowledgeable. She took time to understand what we were were looking for and she offered multiple options. It certainly helps that she know EXACTLY what is in her store! Eva's encouragement patience is wonderful and has been seldom encountered.

In summary, would I recommend Eva? YES! After this experience I would feel comfortable initiating a purchase online (not in the store). In store, I trust her and value her input.

The most beautiful pearls with the kindest person

I absolutely recommend going to this store, of all the places we saw with pearls this was the one with the most beautiful jewelry. You will find high quality jewelry at very good prices. The owner, Eva, is an expert, she taught us everything about pearls and how they are obtained, she is a true expert who can advise you on your purchase, She is also the kindest person, we had a very nice time with her and going to her store was an excellent experience. You won´t regret it.

Superb craftsmanship, in a warm inviting environment

My wife and I discovered Eva Pearls while exploring the island, and it was one of our best experiences on an already amazing vacation. Eva was incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and helpful in finding the perfect gifts for family members. Her craftsmanship is superb and the selection of pearls breathtaking. I hope to be fortunate enough for a repeat visit.

Fantastic buying experience

I went into pretty much every pearl shop on Moorea before buying something special from Eva. She is so very knowledgeable about pearls and the island and so much else. Instead of a traditional retail experience - in/out, here's your money, have a nice day - my husband and I sat and chatted and took pictures. We ended up with both a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry art and a friend. We will definitely return for a 3rd time to Moorea some day and Eva's shop will definitely be on our itinerary.

Eva est toujours de très bon conseil et vous fera profiter de sa connaissance des perles avec des pièces magnifiques et de grande qualité ! Amazing knowledge, beautiful unique pieces - great experience

We so enjoyed our buying experience. We valued the time and assistance Eva gave us and appreciated the unique and exceptional knowledge she had for pearls and her work. Having the jeweler of the items we were looking at was especially reassuring, Eva's advise was invaluable and resulted in a relaxing and informed buying experience.

We would recommend Eva Perles without hesitation and with confidence.

In-Depth Pearl Knowledge, Unique Creations, and Quality Craftmanship

After reading about Eva Perles in a travel book that was several years old, I noticed that the owner had studied photography at a university not far from where I'm from. As a once-avid photographer and current lover of jewelry, when my husband and I happened upon her shop, I had to stop. Eva greeted me promptly when I entered, and inquired if I spoke French or English (she speaks both). She said she was not a fan of pushy salespeople, so she let me shop without hovering. However, she was also helpful when I needed it, and we had a lovely conversation until my husband joined us. He was a little cranky from the heat, but Eva's congenial manner and easy way of explaining all things related to pearls quickly won him over.

As I hemmed and hawed over two different pairs of earrings, Eva explained the process of pearl cultivation and how she selects them. She had me try on the earrings and step outside to view them in the light with a mirror, which helped me appreciate their luster and how the color played off my skin tones. I ended up going with beautiful, long earrings made from "me and you" pearls, meaning they are two different colors, and I thought it was delightful that my "mismatched," natural pearls reflect the personalities of my husband and me--as we were celebrating our 20-year wedding anniversary that day.

Eva was also a great help with transportation, as our hotel said they would send a cab to pick us up, but they never did! So Eva was able to get her husband to drive us back to the Hilton. She was also refunded our VAT within about two weeks of our departure. Overall, it was a wonderful, memorable experience.
