What a lovely fun bar. Drinks really well priced, great atmosphere, has a really good pool table. Bow the owner goes out of her way to make sure everything is good. Has lots of regulars which make the place have an even better atmosphere.
Excellent for meeting people when travelling alone.

Been spending a lot of time on Koh Lanta and visited most of the bars but since Free Descent opened up I have barely been at another place.
The location, the prices and the atmosphere makes it a fantastic experience. The owner and the staff are kind-hearted and genuinely nice people.
100% recommended.

This is by far my favourite bar on the island. The vibes are so chill that everybody feels welcome; solo travellers, long termers and locals. Music is good, drinks are affordable and the staff is the best. Definitely join for a game of killer pool!!

Free descent is your place to be if you are looking for a chill vibe to have a few drinks and play some pool. The music is good, drinks are tasty and afforable and the staff is absolutely amazing. They will do anything to make your night one you want to remember (or not, if you had a few too many tequila shots).
Make sure you check this place out on wednesdays because that is when the dj comes out to play some funky tunes for you and your friends to bust some moves on!
