Mi nuevo lugar preferido en Uruguay

Aunque conocía de pasar por allí, nunca me había alojado en Punta Colorada.
Paisajísticamente es un lugar privilegiado, los atardeceres son hermosos, y hay lugares cercanos para salir a comer de muy buen nivel.

Hermosa playa, para mi gusto hacia el lado de San Francisco está mejor. Ideal para niños por ser bastante calma. No se amontona micha gente, gran problema de otras playas por lo que es super recomendable para descansar

My favorite beach in Uruguay !

This beach is an excellent summer destination.
Nestled between the actual points of Punta Colorada and Punta Negra, this beach is my absolute favorite. There are life-guards at the beach in the summer, and there is an impressive range of very interesting places to rent for the entire family.

a must for animal lovers - visit Marine Wildlife Rescue!

A MUST STOP FOR ANIMAL LOVERS! Punta Colorada is not only a beautiful beach but is home to SOS Rescate de Fauna Marina (SOS Marine Wildlife Rescue). By far this was the most unique and rewarding experience of our vacation in Uruguay, in Jan 2020.
We participated in the 'animal care assistant/volunteering' visit and got to help feed sealions, penguins and the most gentle elephant seal… we even got to swim on the beach near one of the sealions that was getting ready for his return to the sea. Truly unforgettable! Watching the amazing mother-like bond the orphan baby seals establish with Richard Tesore, SOS founder, and how they respond and follow his call is incredible.

ANIMAL CARE ASSISTANT
A unique opportunity to learn about and care for animals undergoing rehabilitation. You may help with feedings, enrichment and general animal care. Animals on site vary, but may include close encounters with penguins, sealions, turtles, petrels and elephant seals, among others.
Price: US $30 per person
Maximun group size: 5 people.
Duration: 2 hours
Advanced reservations required: (+598) 94 33 07 95.

GENERAL ADMISSION TOUR
Learn about and meet the animals being care for at SOS. . Animals on site vary, but may include sea lions, penguins, turtles, petrels and elephant seals, among others.
Price: US $ 10 per person
Available daily from 4pm-7pm during summer months (Jan-March). (hours change during winter months)

Es una de las mejores pplayas que visite, el agua calida, calma, arena y playa grande, para familia, pareja, solo, como sea. Hermoso clima y mucha seguridad en la ciudad. Fuimos dos veces y volveremos seguro! felicitaciones por tal maravilla!

Beautiful beach in Piriapolis

Piriapolis is a small beach town on the way to Punta del Este from Montevideo. Piriapolis actually pre-dated the Punta del Este. We thought it was a much more laid-back version of Punta del Este with normal restaurants and clubs. We saw a vintage hotel and plenty of people crossing the street on their way to the massive playa (beach) area. It felt like a Mediterranean beach town.
It is much less crowded than other beaches. Hotels in town are more affordable than in Punta del Este as well.

Increible lugar. El amor y dedicacion de Richard no creo que pueda haber muchos en el planete. Te enseñan como se deben amar y proteger a los animales. Muchos niños y eso es bueno porque ellos son el futuro del mundo. Mas que agradecida por todo lo vivido. Volvere seguro
