Avendo girato nel nord dell´Argentina, in Bolivia e in Perú devo constatare che questo mercato é di gran lungo il piú caro, anche perché il posto é strapieno di turisti e qualcuno che "abbocca" si trova sempre , i prezzi in Bolivia e nel nord dell´Argentina erano di parecchio piú bassi e non bisogna contrattare , ripeto un posto solo per turisti e i prezzi sono di gran lunga superiori ad altri mercati , il mercato é carino e affascinante vedere tanti colori .

Local com muitos itens de artesanato característico do Peru. Há um grande número de lojinhas, com produtos diversificados. Mas é importante consultar os preços, pois um mesmo produto tem grandes variações. Vale também sempre pedir desconto.

A great place to pick up some beautiful colourful souvenirs to remember your time in Peru. Lots of choice. Like all markets in Peru don’t pay the first price offered but bargain in a polite and friendly manner for best results. We found all the stall owners there to be friendly and helpful.

Es un sitio muy pintoresco con muchos puestos, pero casi todos venden lo mismo. Si se piensa en llevar un regalo o un recuerdo seguramente es el mejor lugar para comprarlo, ya que hay bastante variedad. Varios pasillos donde perderse mientras vemos artículos típicos. Para tomar el tren de regreso hay que pasar por este espacio, ya que se sale a la estación justo por el medio del Mercado de Artesanías.

Situé juste à côté de la gare, idéal pour flâner en attendant son train. Les échoppes vendent souvent les mêmes produits, et il est intéressant de comparer les prix.

El mercado es interminable, pasillos y pasillos llenos de pesos en su mayoría todos iguales, uno termina mareado. Pero si buscas artesanías típica de Perú, este es el lugar.

Stupid question but off to Machu Picchu this morning hopefully, is this market the only place to buy souvenirs or are there shops at Machu Picchu? Second question, we like to collect model Gecko’s that hang on the wall from places we visit around the world. We have not seen any in Peru and just wondered if anyone had seen any here, thanks

There is a huge market once you get off the train. You basically have to walk through it. There are also shops around that take credit cards.

Te conviene comprar en Soles (moneda local), recuerda preguntar siempre en varios puestos pues puedes encontrar los mismos modelos a un menor precio dependiendo de donde preguntes.
