Chundikulam national park is a beautiful landscape with shallow wetland areas. It is full of brackish water. It's a protected area. It is located in north province in Sri Lanka. According to my knowledge, it is one of the best places to see thousand and thousand Greater Flamingo birds in Sri Lanka. The Greater Flamingo is the most widespread and largest species of the flamingo family. It is found in Africa, on the Indian subcontinent, in the Middle East, and in southern Europe. A lot of Greater Flamingos migrate to Sri Lanka in winter. They can be seen all the day at Chundikulam national park during migratory season. Mainly early morning and in the evening. I highly recommend to visit Chundikulam national park.

This area is around the Lagoon.The area is of mangrove swamps and seagrass.We did not see many birds.
