It's a really peaceful kind of place. Ticket is Rs 30. Do include this in your trip. There is a Mandie on top of the hill. Nice place

The architecture is incredible. You can wander around at your own leisure and photograph the beautiful buildings with arches and the scroll details. The grounds are very well kept. The entrance price is reasonable. We arrived about an hour before it closed and it was not too busy. It was quite peaceful and we enjoyed our time there. I recommend a visit here.

Place of the soul at peace with the world, is the royal crematorium, designated by the founder of Jaipur. The buildings mark the places where royals were cremated, have an umbrella-shaped dome called "chhatri", the marble architectures are embellished with sculptures, while others were built in sandstone. It is located near the slopes of Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur. Gatore Ki Chhatriyan is interested in discovering the royal past of Jaipur being resting place of Kachwaha kings. It dates back to the early 18th century, when Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, one of the first rulers, posthumous generations built more cenotaphs for later rulers. Each chhatri represents elements of the personality and government of the ruler with symbols of honor and respect in Rajput and Mughal style. The central chhatri is of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Each building is unique, it has domed ceilings, jalis or trellis designs and details of scenes from Rajputana history. I also liked the surrounding lush vegetation, the huge red berry tree.

visited on our last day in Jaipur. fortunately, because it is one of the Must See places there. quiet, less people (we were there earlier, so really just few visitors). and pavilions looks absolutely amazing.

I recently visited Gaitore Ki Chhatriyan, a beautiful and serene spot located in Jaipur, and it was an unforgettable experience. This place is a royal cremation ground for the rulers of Jaipur, and its cenotaphs, or chhatris, are truly a sight to behold. The intricate carvings and unique architecture of each structure reflect the grandeur and artistic brilliance of Rajasthan's royal heritage.
What struck me most was the peaceful atmosphere. Nestled among hills and surrounded by greenery, Gaitore feels far removed from the noise and chaos of the city. It’s not a crowded tourist spot, so I could explore at my own pace. Each cenotaph is different, built in honor of a specific king, and the level of detail in the stonework is remarkable. It’s fascinating to see the blend of Mughal and Rajput architectural styles.
This place is also a paradise for photography enthusiasts. The intricate carvings, the contrast of the white and yellow sandstone against the blue sky, and the scenic backdrop make for stunning pictures. Visiting Gaitore felt like stepping into a slice of history. It’s a hidden gem in Jaipur, perfect for anyone who loves history, architecture, or simply a quiet, beautiful place to unwind. If you love history and architecture, Gaitore is a must-visit. It’s also great for photography. Don’t forget to carry water and wear comfortable shoes!

Situated under one of the mountains around Jaipur, this site is magnificent buildings that serve as memorials to departed members of the royal family. It's a very quiet, contemplative space filled with more beautiful architecture. Give yourself time to enjoy. If you're up to it, which I was not, you can climb the mountain to a Krishna temple above the site. Outside the grounds are a number of stands with street food and more.

As it's summer season, there were hardly any other people apart from us. The place is well maintained and the grass and trees keep the area cool. The staff is courteous and helpful. One can easily spend an hour or so here if not more.
