There are actually 3 Jain temples here, all adjacent to each other. Best visited in the morning around 9.30am. Not much of a crowd and photography is allowed only in the temple compounds.

Bietet dieser Tempel der JAIN einer Religionsrichtung ( Abspaltung der Hindi) ein kleiner Rundgang empfiehlt sich und wer es merkt.... viele interessante Kombinationen mit islamischen Moscheen .... Florale Muster und kleine Spiegelkacheln.

The complex is a beautiful arrangement of these shrines and draws tourists from all over the world. The architecture of the temples consists of intricately carved marbles and glass work.

Peaceful and stunning. This is a must visit temple as you move around Kolkata. The gardens are as lovely as the temple itself.

There is no restriction fr non Jain in gouri Bari temple .. another old temple is there across the street in gouribari I didn’t enter .. it also seemed a Jain temple

Only in the grounds, they ask that you respect the temple itself and don't use cameras inside.

I have seen lots of recent reviews on this temple.Based on that I plan my day to visit this place. But unfortunately they did allow us to be in . As per them this temple is not for public only for Jains. Is this correct? Then how come others manage to visit ?

Hi. I also faced the same problem. Visited in Feb 2017 and was not allowed inside. At the main gate itself the guard said that only Jain people are allowed! Hugely disappointed :(

Hi,
Can anyone please post the address and the direction for going to this place? I found there are two Jain Temples in Kolkata. One is in Belgachhia, which I was told is closed for non-Jain people. Other is near Gouri Bari. I haven't visited the second one yet.

Shovabazar metro will be closest metro station. Some buses ply near to it, you can ask directions for "Pareshnath mandir"

you can get off at Belgachia Metro Statiion. It is a 5 minutes walk from there. You walk towards Shyambazar. The temple coplex is on your right. ask anyone there, they will guide you to the side road which leads to the temple.
