This travel agency is top notch and i highly recommend them. All details were taken care of and hotels were spectatcular (Tobacon & Tulemar). Excursions were also excellent and the guides were very knowledgeable. I would definitely go back!

I am so happy this trip was planned almost one year in advance. Many travelers think it is easy to plan a trip to Costa Rica (or Panama, which we cover too) planning just a couple months ahead... Our country is small (size of West Virginia), with mostly small and medium size lodges, and very sought after, so it is best to plan 6+ to 12 months in advance to guarantee having at least a few options for the best lodging in the destinations and category you are looking for!

Pierre and his team did a phenomenal job planning my family's Costa Rica adventure. Everything went seamlessly.
My nine year old asked who planned the trip because it was super fun, adventurous and memorable. Those are the sentiments from our whole crew.

We described our needs to Pierre as laid back with not too many activities. He delivered what we asked for. It is obvious that he knew the area and the attractions. We mixed in a few trips as well. I supposed our favorite excursion was the hanging bridges tour. A nice paced walk through a park and a very good guide. The guide was knowledgeable and made every effort to make sure we had a great experience.

Every detail was handled - from the airport pickup to the time and itinerary of each stop. The hotels chosen were exactly as we requested - the final hotel, the Parador Resort & Spa was clearly 5 star. Every detail of our trip was handled without stress and while one of our party had mobility issues, yours were planned so that was never a problem with either transportation or sightseeing

Costa Adventures did an excellent job arranging our private tour in Panama. In all, we had very knowledgeable guides that spoke very good English. Our drivers were on time and careful. Our accommodations were nice and clean. The hotel staff was very helpful. We had no problem making flight connections in Panama.

Great trip with Pierre and team. They were responsive, helpful and put together a great itinerary for our family. Highly recommend. We made same changes including some while in country and it was very smooth.
Costa Rica in general is a great place for young children. Between the three locations, it felt like 3 trips in one. Just be aware that there can often be long drives (though they are scenic) when travelling between areas that in US terms are not that far apart.
The food and people were wonderful. The trip was very reasonably priced for the standard which was delivered.

Pierre and his team have come through for my family and I a third time (he previously handled trips to Nicaragua and Panama)! Everything he helped us with was top notch, and he made recommendations we would not have thought of ourselves. He presented the itinerary in an organized manner and was able to make changes as required. He knows what he’s doing. For example, for our drive from Santa Teresa to San Jose he booked us a spot on the ferry, without me asking. Communications were timely. He made us enjoyable restaurant reservations (needed during the Christmas period). I would not hesitate to use Pierre’s services again.

Costa Adventures planned a wonderful trip to Nicaragua in 2017, so we knew we could trust them planning another great trip for us to Panama.
We decided to do this trip on short notice - about 6 weeks before we wanted to go, and it was over the Christmas holidays. In spite of this, they put together an itinerary that exceeded our requests. The guides were all top-notch and we couldn't have been happier with our activities or accommodations. We had private transport to various locations and each driver was prompt and very professional.
We wanted to spend a couple days in Panama City, then head to the countryside to spend in nature and do bird watching. Both places, Boquete and Mount Totumas, were just perfect. We came home with a new appreciation for Panama and its wonderful people.

Our trip to Costa Rica was wonderful! There was A LOT of communication discussing the options and sorting out the details of the trip—they were attentive and prompt. The options they provided were excellent and customized to our goals and preferences, as well as being open to consider and/or provide guidance on our inquiries/suggestions. The owner of the company came to our hotel to meet us our first day of the trip before we headed out on our excursions—an appreciated gesture. They were even responsive to try and help problem-solve a visa issue with my son who was studying there, which was certainly above and beyond. The transfers and tour guides were impressively all on time or early for the entire two-week trip!
The highlights of the trip were the animals (sloth tour in La Fortuna […actually saw them awake and moving!], monkeys, frogs, scarlet macaws in the Osa Peninsula, specific ecolodge in Osa Peninsula (Lapa Rios), ziplining in La Fortuna, whitewater rafting on the Savegre River. The other accommodations (Amor Arenal in La Fortuna, Tulemar in Manual Antonio) were lovely and luxurious.
If we could have changed something about the trip… We chose to focus on the animals, which ended up being somewhat repetitive as we were in the rainforests in each of the three locations. Instead, would have skipped Manual Antonio (very touristy and overrun compared to Osa) and gone to Caribbean coast in between La Fortuna and Osa for a different cultural experience and beach/coast environment. In addition, would have tried to schedule being in Osa during a new moon (dark) so that kayaking in a bioluminescent bay could be scheduled.

Pierre and his team curated a fantastic 12 day trip to Costa Rica for our family of 5. He was very accessible during the planning stages and listened well to what we were looking for. The vendors he contracted with to either drive us from point to point, or for various tours and excursions were reliable, very high quality and ensured that we had a great experience. He put together a very detailed itinerary for each day that allows you to know what time you are leaving, what to expect and how to dress. This was super helpful! We started in San Jose, had a few days in MonteVerde and then a lovely boat ride and drive to La Fortuna. From there we spent a few days in Tamarindo. The whole thing was organized for us, with lots of attention to detail and the needs of our family. During our stay we had various questions about laundry and withdrawing money it was great to have someone we could rely on in the country to ask. At the end of our stay Pierre came to meet us with a lovely gift. I would highly recommend Costa Adventures, they take the hassle out of figuring everything out for yourself and provide high quality vendors, hotels and excursions.
