The statue of Patsy Ann, the dog, that used to welcome ship travellers to Juneau is very easy to miss. Be on the look out for it if you are walking on the boardwalk by the cruise ships. She’s got a very shiny brass nose from people rubbing it. The story about her is nice and even nicer that the city decided to honour her.

Patsy Ann was an English Bull terrier that used to live on the streets of Juneau and greet the ships as they docked. The memorial was erected in 1992 and is just along the dock where Patsy Ann used to roam

One of the local stories and characters you would miss if not for the statue and write up in such a public place. I think things like this add a lot of character to places we visit.

Lovely small statue of a long, gone, dog. The story of Patsy Ann warms the heart. How much is true and how much is legend, no one knows. Enjoyed the statue and the story.

This was absolutely sweet. Her story melted my heart! I am a dog lover and this little piece of history was great! We found this treat without looking for it. The entire walk along the water front was interesting. Sometimes the best is free!

The statue rests near the end of the piers downtown, surrounded by plaques that tell her story as well as the story of Juneau. Her nose is polished to a shine from all the pets she's gotten. Her story will warm the hearts of those who stop by. It's on the way to the shops, so you can't miss her.

It’s a nice story and a nice statue. Not worth walking to as a sight, especially in the rain. And I love dogs. The Alaska State Museum was phenomenal, though!

Patsy Ann was a dog who greeted new arrivals to Juneau in the 1930s. She is immortalized by this statue. You can read her story on the nearby sign. It is right by the water, a short walk from the cruise ship terminal.

This statue of Patsy Ann is right on the dock by the cruise ships. The dock is a nice walk and her story is so sweet.

How can you NOT love this story. Everything about it is feel-good. The Patsy Ann statue is easy to reach, not far from the tram, on the sea - walkway. The writeup is all you need to know and smile about. Then rub her nose (which is shiny from others doing it) for good luck, and hope you are lucky enough to have a dog like that to love.
