Eric is a terrific guide! We had a blast, learned a lot and caught our limits. Highly recommend a day (or more) in Kenai with Eric.

We had a great trip together with Eric, we learned a lot and cought silver salmon. We really enjoyed the time together on the boat and his hospitality! We will never forget this adventure.
Looking forward for another trip with him.
Equipment was top and raincoats, if necessary, are available. Also thanks to his office managerin, she is doing a great job in organizing everything.
We recommend eric as fishing guide!

Eric is the best guide my Dad and I have ever fished with! That is saying alot because we are both avid fisherman. Eric got us on the boat the same day we called, which was very lucky. We started with a half day but ended up fishing two days with Eric. We caught nearly our limit each half day! He went above and beyond to flay our fish and make sure we got it home frozen! So greatful we found this amazing guide service. If you ever are in Alaska look no further for a better person! We will be back again. Thank you!

Eric was Great! Took our family out and got us all to successfully get our limit of Silver Salmon! Will book with him again if I get back to Alaska. Highly Recommend!!

I've really struggled with writing this, but I hope to maybe help out someone in the future. Three of us came to Alaska for 4 days of fishing for dad's 80th birthday. The trip with Eric was kind of a last minute thing, and we ended up with him due to a recommendation from the local visitor center.
The trip was relatively early June for sockeye, and I knew the fishing could be tough. And I've had tough fishing before, and understand the guide doesn't control that part, but they do control the experience.
We show up at 430 am, and are told that Eric's two young daughters are going to join us, which I guess is ok, even though I don't think it is overly professional (I personally wouldn't take my kids to work).
Eric took the three of us downstream from his place, parked us on a sand bar, gave us minimal instruction (we fish a lot, but this was our first time on the Kenai for sockeye). He fished with us for a short time, then takes two chairs out of the boat, and sits on shore with his kids.
Fishing was very slow for the first 90 minutes or so. Another guide boat came by, asked if he could share the sandbar, we say of course. This is when we really saw what a good guide could do here. This individual was very hands on, coaching his clients, working with them hands on, while Eric continued to sit in the chair. After a little over an hour, they limited out (while we still only had 2 or 3 fish), and moved on.
Several times we had tangles in the reel, Eric never assisted with cleaning up. More than once I looked up on shore to see him sleeping in his chair.
Fishing was very slow for us, we asked about different techniques, different locations, and nothing was offered. In the end we did catch a few fish but the overall experience was very far below expectations.
Three other guides/charters on this trip were great experiences, this one simply wasn't. In fact, this trip was little more than an expensive rental.

Our family of four went out with Kasey. Had a great time, catching 11 red salmon in a half day trip. She was very kind to all of us city slickers. Took care of the fish expertly afterward. We highly recommend you ask for Kasey. She will take good care of your group. Fish on!

Last October I surprised my husband for his birthday with a fishing trip to Alaska and I could not be happier that I booked it with Eric! We had the absolute best time fishing with Eric on the Kenai River. He was so accommodating and took such good care of us the entire time. We caught beautiful silver salmons and took home more fish than we know what to do with. I could not recommend Eric’s guide service enough, we are very much looking forward to fishing with Eric again for some King salmon!

We booked a trip with Eric and stayed in one of their cabins on the river, Eric picked us up bright and early and we slayed the silvers two days in a row. This was a awesome trip and some of the best silver fishing i've ever experienced. Eric is a great guide and an awesome person.

After conducting significant research on a salmon & halibut fishing trip in Alaska, I discovered Eric Loomis Fishing Alaska. Our goal was to find a relaxed guided fishing experience on the Kenai River. My son & I couldn’t have been luckier. Eric & Matt’s fishing camp had magnificent new cabins with access to their great fishing boats on the property. I have some difficulty walking and everyone was eager to assist while accessing the boats and while fishing. Great people... We caught our limits fishing and had wonderful evenings sitting around the large fire pit getting to know everyone. We were pleasantly shocked to see moose grazing around the camp. Amazing... Although the cabins are totally equipped with, get this, stainless steel appliances, we ate our evening meals out by the fire with Eric, Matt, and Their families. We formed a strong bond in a short time. Both my son and I agree it was the best time we ever had together... We HIGHLY recommend Eric Loomis Fishing Alaska and look forward to our next trip...This is a no-brainer people... Wonderful experience...

We had the best time fishing with Eric and with Dustin. We have been to Alaska three times in the last 4 years and our fishing trip with Eric, fishing on the Kenai has been by far the highlight, not only of this trip, but all of our trips combined. Not only did we catch a ridiculous amount of fish, but we had so much fun getting to know Eric. He has the best personality and made getting up earlier than should even be legal, a blast! We can hardly wait to fish with him again. We also enjoyed our day with Dustin fishing for King Salmon. As you can see by the pictures I am attaching, we had much success on all days fishing. (We did 2 days fishing for sockeyes and 1 day for Kings.) My King was gigantic and then late in the day another guy on our boat caught a slobber!!! It looked prehistoric!! I never saw another boat catch a King all day. That is saying something about Dustin! On the days we went out with Eric fishing for Sockeye, we limited out each day. It was so much fun!!
