sorry for late reply.....there was literally no line on the way up and there were about 50 people on the way back, tho it is so quick as each skycart carries quite afew people all at once....on the way up there were only 4 of us - get there early to beat the crowds...

Hi, After the cable car there is still one more funicular that you can choose to take. The very last part of the trip to the top is steep stairs and the air is noticeably thin. But just take it easy, don't try to run up the stairs and you'll be fine. I'm over 50 and we were also traveling with small kids. Have a good trip !

Hello, I paid by cash but don't think there's a fee for card payment. There's no need to buy the tickets in advance. On the morning that we went, our hotel booked the tickets for us and arranged for them to be delivered to the hotel. We paid the hotel. We told our hotel the night before but they advised us to wait till the next day to make sure the weather was good before we got the tickets. The next morning we confirmed our trip before breakfast and the tickets were waiting for us right after breakfast.

The tram from sun plaza to cable car station is down. I guess its damaged due to landslide. You can take a taxi from town instead. But 1 way try to negotiate to 100VND. Thats what i did today

it's really unsafe to walk from the car cable to Cat Cat village, and to my line of memory, it's not only 400m.

Hi! I dont know for where the bus stops, but fansipan cable car is about 3 km from city center. Cable car costs ~700kdong per person and the ride takes about 20 min. When you get out of the cable car you have two options. Either go to the top on your own (very long and exhausting in that height) or pay extra ~100k dong(not sure about exact price) for the ride to the real top. We have been there in mid october and the weather was very good from what we heard. But we were still in clouds on top and saw just mist. The ride to the top was beautiful though. There are cafes on top, i have no idea about pricing since they were closed when we visited. When it comes to silver waterfalls you can go without a guide and the best thing would be scooters.

Hi there! We went to Fansipan riding a motorbike. It took us some 15min. Then you get on a shuttle bus that takes you to the main entrance. We didn’t have to wait in line to get the tickets and to actually get onnthe cable car took us some 10 more minutes. The ride is about 20 min and once you get to the top of the mountain you can spend there as much as you want but I would be there no more than one hour tops. In case you didn’t want to ride a motorbike, I’m sure there are buses which take you there. I hope I helped you. Enjoy the ride!
