Peaceful time with my soulmate
My wife and I loved being on the water and being able to explore without being on an excursion with a bunch of other people. We really enjoyed our time together on the water and we would recommend this to anyone who likes exploring on your own.

Fun little adventure
Super fun little adventure! We went to the coral garden, the area to see manta rays, and the public beach :) it was wonderful! Be careful the water can get choppy very quickly which makes it harder to boat. There are also rip currents right when you leave the beach/come back so be careful of that.

What a fun experience. It was great to take the little boat around and stop where ever we wanted. The map was a huge help. I also liked how friendly the staff was and that they picked us up from the hotel.

Great self driving half day tour!

We had a great time on the self drive 2 person boat! We did the 4 hours tour and they let us extend for 2 more hours for a small additional price. We ended up not needing it as we felt we got enough in and enough sun. Even though it did come with a awning to protect from the sun. Easy to drive and nice to see the whole island and beautiful views of the mountain! Recommend especially if you aren’t staying on one of the resorts with the nice Mountain View. Came with a cooler and snorkeling gear if needed. Also included pick up from our hotel on the main island and a ride back which was great!

Location de bateau dans permis! Nous avons été super bien accueillis! Nous avons eu toutes les explications nécessaires pour notre petite balade sur le bateau et on s est régalé pendant 4 heures! 😊

Highly recommend for the independent traveler

We just finished our boat excursion in the lagoon. We had such a great day!
The pontoon (6hp) worked well and the instructions we got were very detailed. A faster boat would have been nice, but this one did the job.
The team at La Plage is very professional and everything feels very organized.
We stopped at a secluded beach by the lagoonarium and had it all to ourselves.
Come prepared with sun screen, lunch (we got baguettes and cheese on the way to the office), water, snorkeling gear and water shoes.
This was my first time boating on my own, and while the first few minutes were a bit stressful, it was Raitt great!

Fun way to see the lagoon
We did a half-day rental on a 13’ trolling-type motor boat. It was incredibly fun to sail around the lagoon and drop anchor in the shallow sand. We explored the northeast side of the lagoon since we hadn’t been over there during our stay.

The staff are friendly and helpful from check-in to taking rental of the boat. Everything was thoroughly and clearly explained so we knew what to do and what not to do.

Keep in mind- with a small boat & small motor- it goes slowly and you feel the chop on breezy days. If conditions are calmer it’s smooth sailing! We were extremely happy we decided to see the island this way. Would highly recommend.
