The two old dudes with mustaches in the pro shop need to go! One is from like North Dakota and the other's name is Roy or something... they both suck. Zero personality, negative attitudes, and just overall not a good look for a golf course. They act like they are aggravated you want to hand them money to golf. They need to find work that doesn't involve being friendly.
Oh, and the greens at this course are some of the worst around... just know that before you play there.

We live in this area full time. This was our second time playing Rancho Mañana. 7 years ago and yesterday. The setting and layout is beautiful with enormous elevation changes. Blue tees play at only 6,000 yards but positioning off the tee is critical with several blind tee shots and severe downhill part three holes.
Play was slow until no. 10 and it spread out.
My constructive comments were green surrounds and approaches not ideal. It was Sunday so perhaps that explains that issue. More importantly, the volume of poa seed heads on all putting surfaces is unacceptable especially a course with high play and, resulting revenue. The superintendent and usga green visits have likely recommended turf growth regulators for the putting surfaces. It is an expensive but critical program that should be immediately put in pla ce.
Golfers talk about greens more than a beautiful setting and I would not be a repeat customer without knowing the surfaces were top priority.

The course is poorly managed. Arrived 1.5 hours before my tee time at 2:45 pm. There was no parking available in the resort. Had to park outside on the street and carry my bag in. I bought a bag of balls for the range but learned that it was quite a distance from the pro shop and no carts were available. The unapologetic pro shop guy told me that I could go out to the cart return area and wait for a ride. I finally did get a ride to the range. I asked the driver if someone would bring me a cart when one was available. He told me no, I would have to get a ride back with anyone who was going back or walk. There was not the slightest bit of caring or professionalism. The attitude was that they were very busy and I was going to have to live with whatever. Once out on the course, we waited at every tee and finally, beginning at about the 6th tee there were two then three and then four groups waiting at the tees. I finally quit and drove into the cart return and left.
I have read many of the course reviews here and can only say that I found the course to be poorly managed and really kind of gimmicky. I will not play there again.

This hotel (resort) was very nice. I will stay here again in the future. I took advantage of the hot tub. The room was very spacious.

We enjoyed this round very much, playing early on a Saturday morning with just a single who knows the course, which was helpful. We played quickly and pace of play throughout was great, which we like. We enjoyed the elevation changes and the views and the overall atmosphere, friendly people in the pro shop and at the starter area, course was in good shape and priced acceptably.

It's fun and challenging to play with target golf and elevation changes. Great scenery, well managed with friendly, helpful staff. Just be prepared for slow play. Enjoy the scenery while you play a leisurely round. Recommended.

Hidden gem of a golf course. It is a short course even from blue tees but will make you earn a good score. Little bit smaller greens then some of the other courses but they are at a consistent speed. What makes the course amazing is the elevation changes and variety in the holes. It is a true resort golf course.

Went for a team building experience and experienced the worst time. Showed up with party of 6 and they wanted to split the party. Despite keeping up with the party ahead of us and being two holes ahead of the couple behind us the golf Ranger badger us until two of us that paid stopped golfing. That wasn't good enough for golf Ranger though he sent out another employee that was rude and smurked while telling us to leave. We spent over $700 and no credit given, why? Oh no manager on site during working hours. Use your money elsewhere they obviously do not need the business.

Our policy at Rancho Manana Golf is that we allow a maximum of 4 players per group. This is the same policy at 99% of golf clubs. This group played with six players. They were warned 3 times by our golf golf staff, twice by our rangers, then finally one of our golf professionals. After each time, they joined back to six players with no regard to our policies, nor warnings from our staff members. Because of this, they were 20 minutes behind pace, blocking all other golfers behind them. Also, they brought alcohol on to club property, which is against our policies too. We have photos of this.
It's unfortunate that this review is posted for this persons inability to follow club rules. We had 220 players last Sunday, with everyone following club rules except for this group. How is this review fair? Please remove it. Thanks,

This course combines the best elements of desert golf, with plenty of cactus and waste areas yet also lots of grass and even shade. The front 9 is gorgeous but mostly "target" golf, which has its plusses and minuses. The back 9 is more level and open. Nice combination. I disagree with reviewers who complain about the adjacent houses. Many holes have few or no houses, and the houses on other holes never felt intrusive. Friendly staff, too.

Course was in good shape and a good test of golf. Local knowledge is very helpful. Thanks to the Canadian couple who had played here several times. The snack bar is grossly overpriced.

We have a variety of rates available which vary depending on how far in advance the tee time is made, which day of the week and what time of the day. Generally, the lowest rates are for tee times made 0-7 days in advance. Rates can be found on our website rates page and tee times can be booked through links on that page as well.
