They spent thousands to put in new greens a few rears ago. Lazy people don’t repair ball marks and the greens look like a kid with chicken pox. If you are too old , blind , fat or just plain lazy please go play elsewhere. If you want to play there repair ball marks

The course was in good shape with interesting course design. Some of the staff were helpful. There was a kind lady in the pro shop. The manager was nice. But I spoke to two starters and they were outrageously unfriendly. Specifically, a guy named Randy who for an unknown reason kept picking on me and making fun of me right to my face and to other golfers, chiefly due to my profession and a medical disability I told the staff I had. This is why I had to talk to the manager. It was honestly insane. My only explanation is that he was drunk. I asked for a refund but because I got the deal through a third party vendor I couldn't, so I played anyway.

Hubby and I played here on a Saturday. Course was in nice shape. One of the nicer courses we played in the area for sure. We did run into some rude regulars on the course yelling at us to play faster even though we clearly had two groups in front of us that we waited on at every tee box so it was annoying to feel like you were being rushed when it wasn't our faults. So we ended up telling the course manager and he made it right for us and apologized for their rudeness. We appreciated that. Hopefully those people wake up in the right side of the bed tomorrow. Other than that highly recommend this course!

We made 5:00 reservations for a window seat. The view of the mountains was outstanding! The rest was not... I first ordered brisket but was told a couple of minutes later they did not have it. I changed my order to pork bbq, and then the chef came out to tell me that wouldn’t be ready for another hour, so my 3rd choice was ribs. They came out overdone and dry. We did not get the cornbread that was part of the meal - they were out of it! Our server said that we could order dessert as a substitute, so we chose peach cobbler. And then, you can probably guess it... THEY WERE OUT OF DESSERT!! She simply brought us out a large dish of vanilla ice cream with 3 spoons. I could not believe it!!!
I spoke with the manager about our disappointing experience, but she offered nothing.
Other than the view, I would NOT recommend this place.

Owners have spent the last few years improving, renovating and caring for the SI Course so that it has now become an area favorite for many. In high season, you should call early for tee times. It is not a good course to walk but carts will appreciated on the hills and washes and you will enjoy a tough but workable course. Staff is great! Don’t forget the gift shop or a beer at The Coyote Grill after your play- great food and always great stories around the bar!!

Enjoyed the day and the course was in good shape considering the overseeding was not that long ago. But your bunkers need some work. Get that done and your ratings will come up

First off; a nitpick, 4 stars because the tee-boxes were not perfect but after 4 months off 100 degree days they were still in good shape. I played SI for the first time in 4 months and it made me wonder why I don't play it more often. New owner and management continue to improve this beautiful course.
The layout is varied and interesting, the tee-box choices can totally change the way you play each hole. The greens were a little firm and faster than other courses around Tucson(a good thing to me) so subtle breaks will come into play when you putt.
The new bar and restaurant are friendly places to hang out and relax after playing, and the food is really good. The excellent dinner menu will leave you with several tough choices, so you will just have to go back and try something else on your next visit.
The view of the valley and Santa Rita mountains from the dining room is wonderful at sunset.

Love the course, challenging but fun. Need the marshals out more often as there are usually some slow players. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

It is incredible to me how well manicured and maintained the golf course is. The evening meal of course is simply the topping off a wonderful enjoyable and satisfying day. OK my golf was not memorable but that is my fault not the course.
