The Main Street in Jerome has a whole block of cute little shops and galleries. We wandered in and out of the stores with a stop at Aurum Jewelry. They had some nice turquoise pieces.

After 20 years of daily wear and tear on a Zuni turquoise ring, staff were able to miraculously restore the ring to "like new" condition. Replaced an inlay and repaired shank to perfection. Was able to make arrangements to send ring and have it repaired and returned in a few weeks time, for very reasonable cost! I have relied on this store in the past and will continue to speak in glowing terms as to the artistic talents and the integrity of all staff. David K.

I agree with all the other reviewers. I no longer live in AZ, but when I visit, I try my best to go to Arum in Jerome. Beats Sedona, Scottsdale, etc. One reason why....petroglyph jewelry you can afford! My friends always compliment my jewelry from Arum, and it is of the best quality. I sure wish they had an online catalog...

I have known Curt and Sharon for many years, in fact long before they opened Aurum Jewelry, probably circa 1973. I was in the raw jewelry materials business for many years and bought and sold lapis lazuli, turquoise, red coral, malachite, mother of pearl. other shells, and any other semi-precious stone that was in demand by quality craftsmen. Curt was one of those artisans, a master by the way, who was both a friend as well as a client. I have bought many pieces from Aurum over the years and my wife's favorite ring of all time came from this store. Curt once made a custom bracelet for me, in 18 carat gold, that rivals anything found in Santa Barbara, Santa Fe, or Aspen. I can't wear it because everyone wants to buy it from me.
Aurum has fine jewelry and artwork from over 100 regional craftspeople on consignment while also featuring Curt's masterful pieces. If this store was in Sedona or Scottsdale, Curt and Sharon would be the toast of the town. They opted, like many of us back then, to live in a small town, Jerome, which though it still has less than 500 full-time residents, it hosts over 1.5 million visitors annually.
If you are saving your money for an absolutely unique piece of jewelry, hand-made knife, art object supreme, or a sculpture that you never knew existed but have been diligently waiting for, walk into Aurum and fulfill your dream. It will be the highlight of your shopping experience in Arizona.

This store is chock full of great, artisan jewelry. Service was friendly and discerning. They have a great selection at good prices. I purchased a ring and ear rings and am very happy with both wearing them a lot. I live in Manhattan and I visit craft fairs often, and this shop, well, it would be on the top of my list if I were living nearby.
It has something for everyone. Great place!

They make much of the jewelry featured in the store. Lovely and unusual pieces. My out of town guests bought a number of gifts here.

Lots of choices of custom made jewelry in nearby town of Sedona. But if you want unique and locally made jewelry this is the place to visit and shop. Prices are sometimes 50% less than you will find in Sedona. Curt one is the owners will also take one of your stones and make a custom piece. Can't beat their prices, in my opinion, anywhere in the Verde Valley. Make sure you stop by while strolling through Jerome.
