Petit marché agréable. Il semble qu'il y aurait moins de stands de nourriture qu'auparavant, à ce qu'on m'a dit, mais c'est tout de même agréable et j'ai pris un excellent repas (Santana Gourmet, si je me souviens bien). Belle ambiance ! Le quartier est très cool également.

What an amazing way to spend a few hours in a Sunday. Lots of stalls to browse. Particularly loved "I was shot in Joburg" an initiative to help former street children. Amazing things to buy and for such a good cause. Nice rooftop bar to sit and have a drink in the sunshine. We had a drink at Canteen under the trees and enjoyed people watching. Will definitely visit again.

É um local que muita gente vai para comer algo. Tem algumas barracas que servem alguns tipos de refeição. Não me arrisquei, embora sempre procure experimentar , desta vez passei. Há artesanato e algumas coisinhas para comprar. Tem vários tipos de cerveja no andar superior.

If you have very limited time in Joburg like me, then Market on Main and the neighborhood should be your first stop.
You can satisfy all your needs as a tourist in that small area like good food, nice souveniers, nice people, fancy cafes, cosy places, etc. in a very short time.

Marché central de joanesbourg avec des petits marchands d’arts de rue . il y as de bel créations. Et il y a de petit kiosque de spécialités de nourriture de différents pays intéressant à découvrir et tout est très bon vous pouvez manger sans crainte . Mais il y a pas beaucoup de places pour s’asseoir. Mais il faut être patient . Prix raisonnable

Love the food, art, coffee, fashion, everything. It will make a dent in your pocket and if you're a student you should probably save some spare change first, but it's amazing, and one of my favorite things to do when I can. I mostly spend the time eating and looking at every single thing I can't afford to buy (but that's because I'm a student, and if you are a tourist, 10/10 must visit this place).
There are also restaurants all around the actual market, so if you do get tired of walking around the Living Room is pretty cool too.

Although this is a very popular place and the service is good, the food is mediocre. They sell an interesting collection of wines. It is worth a visit but not to eat! Save the calories and just buy the wine.

Alla domenica si svolge il tradizionale mercatino con oggetti artigianali coloratissimi, collane ed orecchini fantasiosi , magliette etc...C’e una folla eterogenea che balla seguendo la musica improvvisata di qualche band, che suona invadendo la strada incurante delle poche auto che si azzardano a passare. Dai numerosi locali che vi sono escono i profumi delle varie cucine etniche , dagli atelier d’arte sbucano tipi con capigliature elaborate, quasi un distintivo per la loro qualità di artisti. Finalmente in quest via si può camminare abbastanza tranquilli in una città che è veramente poco vivibile per l’alto tasso di criminalità, per cui si sta per lo più in auto ed accompagnati da una guida.

Loved this place! It's a revamped industrial area and they've kept the vibe. Great food and a few stalls selling cool stuff like clothing, jewelry, art and housewares, plus there are a couple of fun shops along the road as well as a more casual market on the sidewalk outside the main, indoor market.
