Our guide Sipho was informative knowledgeable and friendly. A great trip full of all the sights and sounds of Soweto. Would highly recommend.

Informative tour of Soweto and Johannesburg highlights on route. Spho was friendly and knowledgeable, great company and pointed out different land marks.
The Soweto township was humbling but welcoming and the people who invited us into their homes added to the experience.

Was picked up 08.15 on time by Cpho ( sea-pole) phonetic! Aka Damon Wayans very helpful and knowledgeable, spoke very good English and was flexible on what we wanted to do! The Jail where Nelson Mandela stayed for 2 weeks was confronting but brilliant insight to a terrible era in history which is well illustrated! Next a drive through Jobergs city areas when on to the museum and finally Soweto where you can get up and close with it's people! A must is the 2 cooling towers now decommissioned and used as a bungy jump! There's also a bar there to chill out, We had a great day with a great guide with memories we won't forget!

We packed a ton into this tour—beyond the three museums and the walking tour we got to see so much of Joburg/Soweto en route to our destinations. Our guide Itu was very kind and took us to some special sites along the way for viewing points or places of interest!
One thing I would suggest is having lunch earlier, as it got hard to focus in the second half before we ate.
Overall, great bang for your buck and a good tour to see a lot of Joburg and Soweto.

Great tour, with hotel pick-up, Safari and return. The park is great with plenty of animals. We learned quite a bit about the animals too.
A sunrise or sundown safari might be even better, but this tour is great, as advertised
-> Bring enough water and snacks
-> Warm clothes, as the wind-chill is significant and the park is colder than the town

I'd like to take my mother on this tour, but she has a knee problem - Are there wheelchairs for rent available soI could take her around for a spin through Soweto?

I don't have the answer. But, much of the tour of Soweto can be seen from the van. You may not want to use the wheelchair on the dirt path for part of the Soweto tour. If you have a wheel chair, the two museums appear to accommodate wheelchair access.

We are stuck at the City Lodge overnight until our flight leaves for the States at 7:30PM. Will the half-day Soweto tour work? Will you pick up and drop off at the City Lodge?

Hi, I'd like to see Soweto but am.unsure whether to book the full day Soweto cum.Apartheid Museum tour or just the half day Soweto Tour. Which one would get you into the Hector Pietersen Museum? And would you pick.me up from Rosebank? I'd like to go on Friday 4 May, thanks.

They picked us up in Rosebank both days. Second day we were dropped off at airport. I would encourage Apartheid museum. If you don’t do it with MoAfrica, you can do it on your own. Uber is very efficient and inexpensive. Ask MoAfrica about Pietersen museum, we were unable to go inside. MoAfrica is great with their chat, so you should get a prompt reply.

Hi there.
So Moafrika does definitely operate in the rain.
Usually, we have seasonal rain and thundershowers in South Africa. We do sometimes get those overcast and rainy days, but that's the best time to go out on game drives. Animals do tend to be more active when it's cooler and you'll see a lot more activity. You'll also get the best photo opportunities as you won't need to worry about shadows etc.

Hi, question regarding the Soweto tours.... reading the tour descriptions it says that it drives past a lot of things, eg Mandelas House and Desmond Tutu’s house. Do they stop so you can have a look and take photos or is it all drive by viewing which isn’t really how I like to see things. Thanks in advance.

Hi , Moafrika Tours our guides are local from soweto . They take you to many places not all on the Itinerary and you can stop where ever you like. Our guides are trained to be flexible and will stop for a quick photo where ever you like.The do always stop at certain highlights and again anywhere you like as we want you to get the most out of your tour.We do not include Mandela House in our Rate mainly because it comes with a high cover charge R80 per person for a 20 min tour. It is optional and time is allocated if you want to go inside and enjoy it. The rest of the places are all included.hope this is helpful
