For being only one hour out of Jhb, animal world is an awesome experience. Such a wide variety of animals to see, and the game drive was a very cool experience.

I go to the Zoo often as I live close by. Very impressed with the clean cages, clean enclosures and first time in many months I have noticed that the Zoo is well maintained and small jobs were being done while I walked around..... Thank you !

Its a nice getaway for people who love animals. They have animals on ground and others you need to use tour car with their guard. Nice place to visit on summer or winter.

Great venue, good staff and very pleasant experience, highly recommended. Make sure you go on a sunny day, Animals are easy to see and access, well marked and well laid out venue. Great for tourists, a little small and far out to travel if you're not a local though.

The aquadome is not for ladies looking to relax and enjoy their scenery.
It was humid, with water all over the place and very loud with minimal space for those wanting to just relax to enjoy the vibe.
It is perfect for a couple of guys' outing or visitors with children wanting to play in the various activities provided.

Turn right outside the carpark and follow the newly tarred road for about 3 km to get to the Animal World. It is a small zoo that can be easily walked around in two hours. They have a good aviary and collection of snakes and spiders. There are also Lemur, Mongoose and Meerkat. The zoo is next to a good wild animal reserve with plenty of antelope species, zebra, giraffe etc.

Staying so close to the animal we never realized the hidden gem on our door step! Was worth every moment! Nice and neat! Animals are looked well after!

If you have not been to an animal park before & need to get up close & see wildlife, then this is a great first. With lots of different animals from all over the world & not only SA. What was nice to see is that the animals are well looked after & that the park is clean!

We stayed at Emerald resort for two days with our two young girls and decided to try out the animal farm. We didn’t expect to see much other than monkeys and bird life. Very reasonable entry fee and fantastic animals including hippos, wolves, meerkats etc. One can see the animals are well cared for and the park is laid out logically so easy to see all the animals in one route. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
