I enjoyed my time, but wasn't super impressed. It was more the novelty of Durban as a new frontier for me.

The Springbuck calls its "The Most Elegant Curio Shop in Africa" and goods are shipped to all part of the world. We discovered it quite by chance in the Workshop Shopping Centre. The Workshop Shopping Centre had been recommended by wait staff in Umhlanga. The shop itself is quite large and crowded with many interesting African art pieces, jewellery, costumes, key rings, salad servers, etc., etc., so take your time and browse slowly. The owners and staff give you the time and space to enjoy discovering treasures among their stock. There are beautifully carved walking canes, beaded jewellery, gold, silver jewellery. There is just too much to list. My words do not do it justice. We bargained and came away with beautiful gold Zulu ring with red and blue beads (typical Zulu piece) and another gold ring with silver elephant. I would say that anything you would like either as a gift or memento of South Africa can be purchased here.
