I quite like this shopping centre. It’s large, airy and well ventilated. I saw plenty of people sweeping the floors while there so cannot fault it for cleanliness. Likewise the gents bathrooms were well maintained.
Big? Yes yet we whiled away a day here. Pleasant experience as shopping centres go.

This was one of the most amazing malls in Cape Town, I would say number two after Canal Walk. But then entered the new rather short sighted owner and decided to strip it of literally all the beautiful finishes which made it so special. Now I try and avoid it, there is absolutely nothing special about it any longer, it is now the same as literally any other centre all over the world.....boring

No backup generators. Not even for the restaurants. Fifteen years of loadshedding - and no lessons learnt. Avoid this mall like the plague. Besides this - lacklustre security, who watch when customers fight things out.

As a frequent traveler Tyger valley remains a favorite in my books. Look very nice after the revamp. Surprise to see the amount of people in the shops and corridors-nice Hype!.
PROS
Nice selection of shops. Easy accessible. VERY central. Will always have a parking place. Nice friendly car guards. Lots of other places in the vicinity. Most of the anchor big name brands in Center. Appreciate all the cellphone companies and their friendly services -very clean- I liked the electronic route board (Alleys shops)when you are lost or would like to find a shop in the center-effective and very cool!
A food court with major franchises will satisfy your needs.
Worth a visit.

The hosts - very friendly and accommodating. Great for a long stay when on a business trip or just visiting. There's an easy and relaxed atmosphere about the place. The rooms are spacious and neat. Having a dining room table is a great plus! I also like the light colors scheme of the room and bathroom.
Decent Internet speed as well - thank goodness!
And WOW! What a view - especially in the evening.

Tyger Valley was a childhood experience relived for me on this trip. There is ample parking, not as crowded as Canal Walk and exceptional restaurants and boutique shops. If you are looking for good shopping a bit 'hidden away' then Tyger Valley will not disappoint.

We were specifically looking for Soda Bloc and exact kids. We didn't get those shops there. We had to travel again to the Canal Walk. It was tiring and disappointing.

Staying in Bellville, Tygervalley will be the best place to find whatever you are looking for last minute. You might have to do some walking but will be worth it. After which you might want to get a bite to eat or have some lovely coffee. I had to get some shoes for a function and was surprised at the different options i had and the fact that the store evens had my size. I was not about to go to another sister store for my size.

I have been Shopping at Tygervalley for years but over the past f18 months or so it no longer presents itself as a flag ship shopping centre it use to be. I can recall the day they opened up the wing to Game and the Mississippi entertainment was still there and after the upgrade inside the building which took about 2 years.The centre requires proper maintenance in their gardens and parking area. The fountain which was a unique icon entering it from the Bellville side is an ugly feature now and requires big maintenance. The roads are full of pot holes, the areas where the service stations use to be is a eye sore and the general cleanliness around the shopping centre need attention.
The one shop my family and I refuse to shop at is the Pick and Pay. The reason the people working there are so unfriendly and aggressive. It feels like i am doing them an honour to shop there.

There are many new shops..crazy store....waikiki..lindt shop etc. A modernised Jet Store and Pick and Pay Clothing.
