Our tour with Julie was a highlight of our visit to South Africa. Along with the major scenic stops we were able to spend some time at some areas we had specific interest such a local weekend market.
Additionally, Julie was very helpful with helping sort out some other areas of our trip with transportation & running down something we'd left at the hotel - going above & beyond.
We'll recommend her for our friends or family visiting the Cape Town area in the future - thank you!

If you want a fabulous guided experience in Cape Town and surrounding areas, make it your priority to connect with Julie Clarke at Cape Splendour Tours.
We had the great fortune of riding with Julie for three of our four-day stay in Cape Town (on the other day we visited standard tourist attractions like Robben Island on our own). She is highly knowledgeable, affable, flexible, punctual and has excellent taste in restaurants, and is an excellent driver on top of that.
The only thing missing from our three days was perfect weather, so Julie skilfully rearranged our itinerary to give us the best chance to visit the summit of Table Mountain in glorious sunshine (which we did) and maximize our outdoor activities when an umbrella wouldn’t be necessary (pretty much accomplished that, too).
She is very personable, and our conversation flowed from the get-go, whether it was about local history, politics and geography, or about the personal things you talk about as you become friends with someone, as we did over our three days together.
We hope TripAdvisor readers take the opportunity to tour Cape Town with Julie. She will enhance your experience many times over.

We must give the highest possible recommendation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our full-day tour with Jeffrey in his comfortable Mercedes. Not only did Jeffrey accompany us to all the places we had asked to see but he also gave us enlightening insights throughout our leisurely journey, whilst driving with great care, attention and patience. Nevertheless, he pointed out wildlife and fauna as we went along!
Based on our dialogue during the day, Jeffrey incorporated a few additional stops, which made our tour truly personal.

Julie came highly recommended, so when we decided to head to Cape Town she was our first call.
She took care of getting us picked up at the airport and even booked our hotel.
We spent three days with Julie seeing the sights in Cape Town. By the end of the third day we thought of her as a friend. We left the three days up to her as to what we should do and see. Her ideas for us were perfect.

I can only give 5 stars and Julie deserves 10+. This was our 4th visit to Cape Town and the 4th time we engaged Julie to show us around the surrounding area. As always, she turned up trumps. She is an excellent tour guide, she adapts the day to whatever you want to do without fuss and with great efficiency. The fact that on every visit to the beautiful city we have used Julie shows how much we appreciate her tours. We would never use anyone else. She is so knowledgeable and adaptable. On our first day, the rain set in but this didn't stop her finding us things to do in wet weather circumstances.
My sister became hospitalised during our stay and although Julie was then on a well-earned holiday she kept in touch with Christine by email and phone during her hospital stay - well above her role as a tour guide.
Please use Julie when you visit Cape Town. We know you won't be disappointed, both in terms of the tour and Julie herself.

Prior to our Safari, we spent 3 days in Cape Town. Julie was instrumental in arranging everything from airport pickup to showing us sites and arranging drop off again at Cape Town airport. For these first time visitors, she was wonderful. She was very flexible. We spent the first day in the city. The District Six Museum was very enlightening. The second day we spent traveling the coastline from Cape Town all the way down to the southwestern most point in Africa, the Cape of Good Hope, we climbed the old lighthouse, stopped along the way to visit the small rural village. We enjoyed a lovely lunch with a beautiful view. The sole was delicious. We saw Penguins, seals, ostriches, Bo Kaap houses, and beautiful nature! The day was full, but not stressed. Julie’s roomy van made the trip pleasant and comfortable. I can definitely recommend Julie . She is a native and has over 20 years of knowledge and stories to share.

Just spent 2 great days with Julie, she showed us around the Cape amazed to see Whales. Ate In great restaurants, she's has a great knowledge of the area and its history.

We enjoyed our first family trip to South Africa with 4 nights on safari and 4 in Cape Town. Our friend generously treated us to a full day tour with Julie Clarke. We spent the day traversing the coastline from Cape Town all the way down to the southwestern most point in Africa, the Cape of Good Hope, stopping along the way to visit the small fishing villages and towns. We enjoyed a lovely (fish) meal with a delicious South African white wine at the beach. We saw it all! Penguins, ostriches, glitzy houses, flora and beautiful nature! It was a memorable day that was relaxing, yet full. Julie’s roomy van made the trip pleasant and comfortable. I can definitely recommend spending the day or more with the knowledgeable Julie and her easy storytelling. We look forward to coming back and visiting the vineyards next time 😉. Thanks for a brilliant day!

This is my second time using Julie’s services. She’s professional, meticulous and pays attention to detail.
Expect a tour filled with Julie’s in depth knowledge of the Cape. Expect fun and laughter - in addition to being professional, she’s witty and kind.

In the beginning of March 2020, just before the Coronapandemic toke over the world and South Africa went in to total lockdown, our group of 10 friends went on a week tour with Cape Splendour Tours. Well let me tell you, actually Cape Splendour Tours is just one lady, the lovely Mrs. Julie Clarke. She arranged a week tour including winetasting and a day tour around the Cape Peninsula. For 3 days we went on a winetasting tour in the wine areas of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek. We already made a list of which wineries we wanted to visit and Julie just filled in the blanks. That’s the good thing about Julie, she doesn’t always do a standard program, but she listens to what her customers want and makes a program according to your wishes. She has lots of contacts and a great knowledge of the area. This knowledge especially came out when we did the tour around the Cape Peninsula, including a visit to Cape of Good Hope and the penguins at Boulder’s Point.
A special mention has to go to our driver during this week, Mr. Clarence Prince, the most positive and cheerful man you will ever meet! Always on time, driving carefully and a great sense of humour. Me and him got on like a house on fire.
So when all this Corona madness is over and your going to beautiful South Africa, make sure to contact Julie Clarke at Cape Splendour Tours!

Thank you so much for the lovely review. I had a great time putting your itinerary together and visiting all the farms you and your travel mates wanted to visit. I am so glad that I managed to arrange it for you to see one of your old favourites that had been closed right up to the day we visited.
I had a lot of fun with Clarence too, it was the first time we had worked together.
I sincerely hope you and your friends do return and choose Cape Splendour to assist you with your holiday and share the Splendours of the Cape with you again.
