Good but busy winery

This is an attractively set winery with great views of the surrounding hills. However, when we arrived and shown to a table, a plump lady with braided gair refused to put up an umbrella for us, stating that it was too windy. As all other tables had open umbrellas we were rather surprised. Our server had a word with her and she reluctantly put the umbrella up. However, despite a poor start this was quite a good tasting. Too many uncontrolled children running around the tasting area though.

Great food, wine and view, lousy front of house staff

First impressions count..... we'd booked a table couple weeks before going. 2 ladies on front desk barely looked up at us when we arrived, told us they were fully booked. I said we'd booked a table and asked if she could check. Low and behold we were there but both their attitudes was shocking. Seated us, fab view of the estate. Chair was hard and uncomfortable. I suffer with nerve pain so asked really politely if there was any chance I could swap and have one of the chairs with the cushion on....well she just looked at me as if I was asking for a trip to the moon sighed and went off to get one. Not one smile crossed her mouth!
Food and wine lovely though and great view. Our waitress was helpful though. Sort your front of house staff out please!!

Pretty, but food and wine quality not great

Lovely setting and friendly service but for me the wines were not great and are quite expensive for the quality. We shared the cheese and charcuterie but it was not very good and we ate only about half of it.

Beim letzten Besuch vor einem Jahr waren wir vom Essen und dem Seevice mega begeistert, sodass wir dieses Jahr unbedingt wieder das Weingut besuchen mussten.

Dieses Mal waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Der Service war nicht gerade motiviert und wir mussten über 1 Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Immerhin hatten wir in der Zeit ein Glas Wein. Ein zweites Glas konnten wir nicht bestellen, da der Kellner nicht mehr aufgetaucht ist.

Wir werden das Weingut nicht erneut besuchen. Da gibt es bessere.

Most terrible experience ever

Never in my live a more worse experience. Rude,slow, arrogant personel. They have a studied pitch of wines, but dont understand wines. Waiters are not able to answer he most simple questions.
Food cold, underperformed and overpriced. They were not willing to phone a taxi, we were advised to explore internet to a possible phonenumber ourselfes. They simply did not care.
I never go here again. Ever, niemals, jamais ooit. And thats what i advice everybody: run from this facility. They don't earn your money, they steal it. Total disgrace

Laughter, glasses being filled and delicious food being served
Did the 6 white wine tasting. The smells dancing in your nose… banana, oak…

RANGA you rock. We shared everything he knew about wine and what I know. Amusing as the youngsters did not know grapes are all white and the grape skin Color’s the wine red. Rose with its pink Color actual from red grapes.
Sauvignon - block on the top right where the sun gently ripens the grapes.. 1 hour and few minutes every day. The Chenin blanc with an oak wooded smell but smooth. Riesling a bit too tart for me.
Then the JUSTIN van Wyk trio.. Olivia Grace just spectacular (a word that so well describes) label very well thought out.

Then the flammkuchen smells drifting up your nostrils …black truffle shavings, mushrooms and onions. Im off the opinion its perhaps the best in town..

Shadows hang low over the valley, the Green vineyards lazing in the cool afternoon.
Time to leave this beauty …
So long
My best & fav wine farm by far..

Seit Jahren besuchen wir dieses Weingut. Dieses Jahr war aber sicher das letzte mal für lange Zeit. Das Essen war nicht mehr das Gleiche wie sonst. Ganz schlimm war der Service. Wir mussten sehr lange warten bis wir bestellen konnten, dann ging es lange bis das Essen kam und noch viel länger bis wir die Rechnung bezahlen konnten. Obwohl wir vorher reserviert hatten ging alles viel zu lang. Zudem war die Damen Toilette sehr unordentlich.

Beautiful setting, lovely food. This is obviously a very popular place. We were happy to get a table in the garden. It was glorious weather. We had some excellent wine. The food was delicious.

Quite poor service.

In six weeks of touring Cape wineries this was the worst service I found anywhere. We had five different servers over lunch, it was hit and miss. We ordered more bread from one, another told us we couldn’t have more bread, another added the non existent bread to the bill. Nice place but wouldn’t recommend it.
