It was our first time challenging a high altitude mountain like Chimborazo. I felt really lucky to meet with Juan and had a pleasure to go Chimborazo with him and his "assistant" Tatiana.
We arrived in Banos after a 4 hours travelling from Quito and planned to stay in this town for the next 2-3 days. Didn't plan for anything but the reason for adding this place into our travel is to go Chimborazo. We lounged in the town in the afternoon we arrived, and Juan's place was our second stop and we didn't continue exploring after.
He recommended the riding activity after visiting the treehouse for the first day since my girl insisted to go take some pics there. And this also helped us to get used to the altitude a little bit before heading to Chimborazo. He charged us $5-$10 more per person compared to the other shops just by the corner, but I think the bike and the brake paid off when we ride downhill from the treehouse. Overall, it was a great warm-up and the view you got to see on the road was great.
We started the second day going Chimborazo a little late, we got to the foot of the mountain just close to 12. Juan took a different route for the round trip, so we had a chance to travel between the mountains in the morning. We also walked around 20 mins at the foot of the mountain to get ready for climbing and we accidentally found some pieces of the new-born wild animals in the bush. Juan also introduced one of his friend to join our trip who also happens to be the guide at Chimborazo. Both of them looked after us very closely during the climbing and explained some natural phenomenon to us at the same time which was really enjoyable.
Obviously I underestimated the power of nature. The harder part is never about climbing but more to the second part. I started having altitude stress after going down and it was almost dark night when we started to go back to town. Thanks again to Juan who dropped by a store and got me couple pills which were probably one of the top 5 most effective medicine I had ever had. And Tatiana drove us home safely through the foggy and surrounding mountain road which is important to the travelers after a long exhausting day.
In the end, I wish Juan all the best with his business and everything else. And hopefully we have a chance to go somewhere else again in the future.

Very good agency. I done 2 tours with them the waterfall one and the Selva one. Both tours were well organised and great value for money. Juan is very friendly, acknowledged and offer a great customer service!

We did a three-day trip in the jungle with rafting, hiking and biking. Our guide Juan was very professional and helpful (he mended my broken shoe for free). You pay a bit more than with other tours, but the service is excellent and you know you are in good hands.
Unser 3 Tagestrip in Banos war ausgezeichnet. Wir leihten uns Räder aus (in sehr gutem Zustand), machten eine Rafting Tour und verbrachten 2 Nächte im Dschungel mit Nachtwanderung und Tierbeobachtung. Führer Juan spricht ausgezeichnet Deutsch und ist immer sehr bemüht, dass sich die Gäste wohlfühlen.
Die Agentur ist etwas kostenintensiver als andere Anbieter, aber es zahlt sich wirklich aus, etwas mehr Geld zu investieren und dafür die Qualität und Sicherheit zu haben.

Dieses Reisebüro ist aufjedenfall einen Besuch wert! Meine Freundin und ich haben uns von dem Team beraten lassen und gleich die Rafting-Tour (25 Dollar) gebucht. Das Rafting war ein einmaliges Erlebnis! Am nächsten Tag haben wir uns außerdem Mountainbikes (5 Dollar) ausgeliehen, um die vielen Wasserfälle zu besichtigen. Das Ausleihen hat reibungslos funktioniert und wir machten uns mit einer Karte auf den Weg. Leider hatten wir sehr Pech mit dem Wetter und mussten bei dem ersten Wasserfall 2 Stunden warten, in der Hoffnung, dass es aufhört zu regnen. Nach fast 2 1/2h haben wir bei Aninga Travel angerufen und wurden sofort abgeholt. Anschließen bekamen wir noch eine private Tour zu den anderen Wasserfällen, da es glücklicherweise aufgehört hat zu regnen. Unser "Guide" (dessen Namen ich leider nicht mehr weiß) hat uns damit sehr viel Freude bereitet. Wir hatten also trotz anfänglichem Regen eine super tolle Zeit mit ihm!! Danke nochmal😁

Aufgrund der Situation in Ecuador steckten wir in Baños in den Bergen fest. Juan erwies sich als sehr professionell und hilfsbereit. Als Tourist ist man in so einer Situation auf Hilfe von Einheimischen angewiesen. Am besten man hat jemanden mit den entsprechenden Kontakten, mit guten Ortskenntnissen und mit professioneller Organisationsfähigkeit. Das Team stellte sich diesbezüglich als hervorragend heraus und ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

I am sure you will find noone better in the whole Ecuador to do your outdoor activities with - should it be rafting, canyoning, jungle tours, or even jeep rides across the mountains and trips to local airport...

Ich war mit Juan auf dem Chimborazo wandern. Es war großartig. Eigentlich ist die Mindestteilnehmerzahl 2 Personen, aber ich war alleine und die Tour wurde trotzdem durchgeführt. Zudem sind wir eine wunderschöne Route abseits der anderen Touristen gelaufen. Juan ist super, ich hatte eine tolle Zeit mit ihm.

Una pregunta sobre los costos, ¿cual es el precio del canopy y el salto del puente?, ¿lo pueden hacer chicos de 14-15 años? o ¿son solo para mayores de edad?

Mil disculpas por haber respondido tan tarde, si aun esta planeando su visita a la ciudad de Banos y hacer estas actividades pues le damos a conocer los costos y desde que edad pueden hacer dichas actividades.
Las actividades de aventura lo pueden hacer los Niños desde diez años en adelante.
El costo por el salto de puente es de 20USD por salto.
y el Canopy tiene un costo de 25USD por persona.
Esperamos haber podido aclarar sus dudas y para cualquier información en el futuro estamos a sus ordenes.
