San Antonio de Ibarra, es el sitio ideal para los católicos devotos. Las variadas imágenes representativas de santos, han hecho un rincón diverso de imágenes talladas a mano. Sus escultores se esfuerzan por producir el mayor y mejor resultado posible de artesanía alterna y variada en razón de la competencia existente entre las locaciones que alberga ese afamado Cantón de la Provincia de Imbabura, lo que promueve una sana competencia entre los comercios existentes. Definitivamente que, cuando se trate de adquirir alguna escultura, incluso no representativa de santos, vírgenes o motivos religiosos, usted estará en el lugar idóneo para ello.

San Antonio de Ibarra. Un lugar muy interesante debido a que encuentras una variedad de figuras hechas a mano con maderas de todo tipo y mezclas de colores. Los artesanos verdaderos artistas que amasan y forman obras de arte. Además los precios son buenos ya que te llevas tesoritos por un precio cómodo. También puedes arreglar cualquier artesanía de este tipo allí.

Se recomienda ir porque un porcentaje importante de los que viven ahí se han dedicado toda su vida, tradición que viene de sus padres y abuelos, a tallar la madera.
Se puede encontrar distintos tipos de Artes, algunos más utilitarios, pero igualmente bellos, Y muchísimo tallado en madera de artículos religiosos muy tradicionales.
Vale la pena visitar para conocer más lo tradicional de Ecuador.
