We have been here a few a times for a ghost tour with AZPIRS (Arizona Paranormal Investigation & Research Society), I always have a wonderful experience learning about the history of the property while trying to understand who may have been there in the past. It's a nice location to learn about the past as well as Vinnie and his group do a great job trying to connect with the past residence.

This is a well-planned little museum that focuses on the surprising history of Oracle, not just another mining town, but also a cooler place at a higher elevation that was the site of many second homes for the well-heeled. There is a history of Buffalo Bill Cody and Hollywood on location, of a healing spot for the tubercular and a spectacular mountain area for the hardy hiker. All this and more and well worth a visit.

We enjoyed very much our visit to the Acadia Ranch Museum that is operated by the Oracle Historical Society. Oracle started as ranches and then TB center. They have gathered a wide collection of photos and old objects from the area. Buffalo Bill Cody even had a ranch and tried a mine here. The historian/building manager, Chuck Sternberg, spoke with us for quite awhile to give us further insight on what a small town can do to preserve their history.
Open briefly on Thursday and Saturday. Admission is free but donations are welcomed and needed.
