Hiked 12-23-21. Plenty of parking available. Well marked trails. Teenaged girls enjoyed the experience. The north [left] hill is challenging.

Beautiful Hike, not an easy one. I would rate this at a moderate with difficulties. Do t take your younger kiddos! Go early! Do NOT go later in the day. Bring plenty of water. This Hike has stunning views the entire loop!

The hiking trail here is varied, and I'd suggest you wear comfortable shoes and be in fairly good condition because some areas of the trail are steep and most of it is covered in loose gravel or sand, which can be slippery. The trail is clearly marked and branches off in some areas giving you choices to the hike. Signage also tells you which route is more easily accessible, and which ones are harder. But the views! Oh, the views! This is a pretty spectacular hike with lots of desert vegetation, varied colored rocks, and fantastic views!

After moving to Peoria, AZ, this was my very fist hike. Currently, there is a new park being constructed that will connnect with West Wing Mountain.

This is a nice suburban/rural interface hike. The first half mile is through a nice neighborhood, then a somewhat strenuous climb up to a hilltop overlooking the entire area. We finished our hike at about 9:00 local time and it was about as late as you'd want to be out if you're not aclimated to the heat. Wear sturdy shoes and take plenty of water.

I normally take Eastwing loop bcz trail starts near my home.
Less crowded compared to near by T-bird mountain trails. Typical view of trails in this desert area.If you prefer easier trail, consider the trails starts at north side of the parking near the playground.

Stayed at Cibola Vista Resort nearby and hiked this trail twice during our stay. Hike is rated moderate, but there is a lot of loose rocks and elevation gain during the hike. 3.1 miles from where we parked at the entrance to the neighborhood. Great views. Hike early AM to avoid heat and sun and bring plenty of water.

and I'm very lucky to have it so close. I'm also grateful that the city purchased the land so that it won't be ruined by construction. There are many levels of hiking trails.
