We were there in April and wanted to make the sunrise. I believe we started the hike around 5am. We were the first to arrive and it was so worth it! Within the hour more people starting arriving. By the time we left it was packed with a huge line to get on the bridge. I can’t recommend enough getting there for sunrise!

Most of the hike is fairly easy...not a walk, but an easy hike. The last section, which is easy to spot because it quickly goes vertical, is moderate to hard. One hiker in our party declined the last leg of the hike, which meant she didn’t get to the bridge. In other words, it’s an easy hike, except the part that gets you to the bridge. That part is moderate.

It’s really more about clearance. The road is quite wide so you have options, much of it is sand and smooth. Yes the parking lot at the head of the trail is marked and clear. It probably only holds 8-10 vehicles but because the road is so wide you could park along the road if it’s full. When we were there only 3-4 cars were parked in the actual trail head lot while the paved overflow lot and even the street leading to that lot were lined with cars.

I would not stay after dark if not familiar with the trail. There is a section of the hike that is not easy and for the unfamiliar hiker can be tricky at dark

The weekends and possible Fridays may be busy at that time of the day. There are several sections near th top that may be difficult for a dog as the rocks are quite large. We met a man carrying his labradoodle in his arms down the stone steps, it looked dangerous to me!

hello....amending my answer thinking about my nephews. the hike is doable, but could be fatal if the children run off on the top section

Il n'y a pas besoin de prendre une excursion. Il suffit d'aller avec votre voiture jusqu'au parking et de marcher jusqu'au devil's bridge. En hiver, s'il a neigé, la montée peut être glissante à cause du verglas.
