Tubac is a small town of approximately 1100 residents and artist. Each for filling their artistic creations of pottery, metal sculptures, wind chimes, wooden furniture even doors.
As you enter the town you're struck with the array of bright colors all around you. It has to bring a smile to your face. There are restaurant's and bistro's many with outdoor seating and music. My favorite is Shelby's Bistro, great burgers. Lime green railings, orange chairs and yellow benches. (reviewed prior) Defiantly worth a stroll.

I had never been to Tubac when the streets were closed to traffic for the art festival. Quite the enjoyable experience. So many different kinds of shopping. Get there early so you get a close parking spot.

Tubac is an artist community with wonderful arts, crafts, etc. We have bought some very unusual things from there. It is fun to just spend the day and walk around to all the shops, little museum , churches. You can always find wonderful eclectic gifts...true Art is there from Gorman, to local crafts. There is a wonderful little grocery market there, with a good deli, wine, salads...tables to enjoy. Homemade pastry and breads. We bought a beautiful fountain there several years ago, but sadly he is no longer there. Just a great day to explore. Had fun going in s few open house...nice southwest designs. Good for all ages.

Tubac is a charming little art town about an hour south of Tucson (also, don't miss the mission church on the way down or back...Xavier). Mixture of shops and galleries. Happened across this lovely gallery on the back side of town. Nice variety of art. But it was the ladies working in the shop who made it a great experience. Recommend you pop in here for a little cool down, the art and some charming conversation (don't hesitate to ask them best places to get lunch).

One of the places we visited on our recent holiday in Arizona, beautiful weather, fantastic day shopping for presents.
Bought some beautiful hand made earrings too.
People were all really helpful and friendly.
Ended the day with a lovely glass of wine and a beer at Tubac Jacks.

We came to Tubac for the Art Festival and had very little time to check out all the galleries in town, but we did stop at Tubac Art and Gifts and were really glad we did. There was a nice variety of original art at different price points and the staff members were happy to answer questions. Tubac Art and Gifts will definitely be on our itinerary when we visit the town in the future.

Spent an afternoon browsing and had a great day looking at the variety of artisan works. everything from the inexpensive to the very expensive. lots of food places and nice people to talk to.
